This location was extremely difficult to get into. causing me to have an accident while trying to back the truck into the location that I was told to return it to, because the attendant could not park the vehicle.The female cashier had very little knowledge of the online contract and told me that she would not accept the contract that I had received through my e-mail. She would not accept the amount that I was quoted and wanted to charge me a lot of extra because I was given a discount online and she said that she could not give me the discount. If I was to rent again from U-Haul and given this location as a pick up, I would not do service with U-Haul.

The sign was not visible...Drove up and down several times to try and find it.



The gas station is No longer a Valero station so we drove right by it the first time. When I went in to return the truck on Sunday the girl behind the counter said it needed to be turned in on Monday. Each time I started to ask her something she would point at the contract and ask me if I could read, "can't you read" over and over. I was finally able to ask "are you saying I can't return it until Monday" she said " can't you read, it says right here it's due Monday" the other lady behind the counter then told me to move so she could help the people behind me. As I waited, and was ignored I went outside and asked that my husband who is also of Hispanic descent go in and finish the transaction as I felt I was being treated poorly because of my race. They were extremely rude, but I'm pretty sure they could careless whether I go there again... And I won't!

It is no longer a Valero as far as I could tell. It did not have any signs that it was a U-Haul drop off station.

I arrived at 5:45 to pick up the truck, The individual in charge of the trucks had left for the day. The employee didn't offer to call uhaul I have to call the Service Line and get them to do the contract over the phone. In addition to that they didn't have the right size truck I had reserved.

The person renting the uhaul was not easily understandable. He was rude. Plus, I reserved online for one location and when I arrived I had to go to this location. I was also told it would be about $161 at pick up and it was about $175 at pickup.



I tried multiple times to reach the Sanborn location, the day before pick up, directly to discuss my rental but the phone was never answered and ultimately went to a FAX. After 3 hours of not being able to speak to anyone at the pick up location, I contacted the 800 number and the CSR (Andrea) was able to curtail my concerns and answer my questions.

Nothing, all went as Planned. I was fortunate the right size truck was made available at the location and at a gas station that was ideal for filling the tank prior to move.

The woman that was working the day we went to rent the u-haul truck was alittle rude and had he cell phoe to her ear the whole time. I wouldn't recommend any of my friends there. It was the only u-haul open at the time we needed it.

I rented a 17 foot truck in Monterey for my move. A few days before, I'm told to pick it up in Salinas, 20 miles away. As CA has had a lot of rain, I noticed the 17' truck had water on the floor; I told the person in charge; I was told it was not problem. It rained during the whole rental; when I arrived in Az days later, I opened the truck and all my paintings and framed art work I had put in the attic area thinking it was the safest place were all wet from the truck leakage. I will note rent from U-Haul again.



I don't like your selection of pick up/drop off. I picked a pick up location based on convience to me. Your system sent me to this location instead. It was on the other side of town and a gas station, not an actual moving center (like the one I picked). I tried calling to confirm my reservation time (multiple times) because I could not make the time given. The location did not answer the phone. When I didn't make it at their time, they canceled my reservation. They get me on my way when I showed up, but if they hadn't it would have been disastrous for me. So in the future let me keep the location that I select on the website when I made my reservation. Don't change it.



Had no problems and she reviewed the U-Haul truck, got the paper work completed in a zip - in and out within 20 minutes. Yes, I would refer my family and friends if going to Salinas to drop off or Pick up at this location.

Rented for a local move, staff was helpful and prompt.



language barrier. Agent did not know system. I had to go behind the counter to help. Did not have furniture blankets. Did not do safety walk through. Very poor experience. I had requested a location close to my house but was sent across town when the requested location had all the requested equipment.

This U-Haul location charged me for a full extra day of use of the truck over a 10 minute - questionable - discrepancy in the return time. I explained when I reserved the 17 foot U-Haul truck for 5:30 pm, that I needed to begin driving it at 6:00 am the next morning. Could I leave it at the U-Haul location overnight and pick it up at 6:00 am the next morning? "Yes." Since I was going to have to drive the rental truck just over two hundred miles, in fairly heavy traffic, and I could not even start the drive for the first 12 hours, what if I was a few minutes late in returning it? "There should not be a problem with that." Well, apparently there WAS a problem with that. I did not complete signing the actual rental agreement until just after 6:00 pm. I then used the truck the following day for 12 hours, and returned it about 5:40 pm the following day. But they clerk wrote down that I returned it at 6:03 pm. That was totally false! I had two other witnesses with me when I arrived with the truck and while I waited approximately 20 minutes for the clerk to finish the paperwork for the return of the truck. She entered my “return time” at the time when she finished the paperwork - after 20 minutes - not the time I entered the premises to stand in line and wait to return the truck. I was about 10 minutes late in returning the truck based on my reservation time, (5:30 pm) but I was 20 minutes early on the return time from when the contract was originally signed and completed (6:00 pm the previous day.) For this discrepancy of 10 minutes late or 20 minutes early, depending on how the time was counted, I was charged for a FULL 24 hours extra use of the vehicle. That was an extra $29.95 for an "extra" day's rental, and an "extra" $28.00 for an extra day's Safe Move Plus insurance. I think this was completely dishonest, and extremely petty of the owner to quibble over such a small amount of time discrepancy, especially in view of the fact that I had discussed this possibility - in advance - with the two clerks on the previous day. No, I would not recommend that ANYONE rent from the people at this location! They are petty, mean spirited, deceptive in misrepresenting the terms of the agreement, and also misrepresenting - falsely - the actual time I entered the premises to return the truck. In my opinion, they distorted the facts and times in order to engage in price gouging. No I will not rent from them again! And I will caution others about my extremely poor experience in dealing with them!
