I placed my order for a 15' truck, 1 dozen pads, 1 hand truck, and 1 furniture hand truck. I got the truck, and 11 pads. Was told that they were out of the hand trucks but I was welcome to drive over to another location to pick them up if I want. Not the customer service I was expecting, when you put in a reservation, I expect it to be filled, by your staff, not me. Truck smelled like someone smoked a carton of cigarettes, and the suspension needs some major maintenance done.

I returned the truck with the exact amount of fuel that was there when I rented it. When I returned the truck, I waited for the clerk to go out and check the truck and he just said we could go ahead and leave. I demand to be refunded for the fuel charge. Whoever checked this fuel level is either lying, or the truck has been driven since I returned it, and I am being penalized for the fuel charges. If this amount is not refunded, I will be forced to escalate this matter within Uhaul, and next to the Better Business Bureau, and further on if needed.

Train the employees? When I got there, they were going to charge me for the dolly even though they told me that they didn't have one to give me. So, I had to ask him to remove it. Then, one showed up, so I asked him to put it back on my list of charges, which he couldn't do. I waited over 5 minutes while he sequentially clicked on every single link and button on the check-in program until I had to ask him to stop and just skip it.

This place is a scam, when I showed the guy just gave me the keys and said see you at 3pm when I asked him about refilling the gas he said just make sure it has enough gas for the next customer to fill up, when I got the truck it had below a quarter take so I made sure to fill it to right where I got it. They ended up charging me for an extra 40 miles and $75 for not filling the gas up all the way when I got it below a quarter tank. I will be reporting fraud to my credit card company. This place is a total scam!

Mileage costs are alittle much considering it's a service fee on top of a rental fee which should cover maintenance plus gas replacement.

I rented a 10 foot truck so it could fit in my space over July 4th weekend. It was confirmed and I showed up and they gave me a 15 footer. The acted like he was doing me a favor and giving me the 10 footer rate. All good except the 10 footer fits in my space. 15 foot truck does not. He also was going to charge me the $30 a day not the 10 footer price at $20 a day. The uhaul lady was pleasant and fixed that issue. I was suppose to see a $50 credit on my bill for the issue as I was renting for a week and it screwed me. Somebody called and asked for a 10 footer and said F this guy I'm going to rent it out and throw him in a 15 footer. Terrible customer service. Basically got the well here you go take it or leave it. Dick move on their part. There was a 10 footer out front. They should have given me the 10 footer and solved the problem on their end. Instead the attitude was well this guy is already not happy lets just shove it on him and let the next guy have it since I didn't lose my shit on him.

The inside of the truck was completely filthy. Looks like someone took a road trip across the country inside and didn't clean it. Everything was sticky, crumbs galore, nothing wiped. The actual location of the business is great i guess. Although next they wanted to charge me double for fuel that I already put in, So they misread the fuel gauge, I had to go in and explain everything to them.

I recently rented a U-Haul from the Point Loma location (which had excellent service and equipment), so in comparison, this Pacific Beach location needs some work. First, there's a Smog station attached, and there is no *designated parking for customers. Both times I was there (truck pick up and drop off), an attendant approached me about where I parked. The rental transaction/process was slow and unprofessional at both pick up and drop off. The truck itself made a rattling noise when in use, and the exterior was extremely dirty.

Truck wasn't ready. I wasn't notified and I ended up having to rent a larger truck and pay more. I also had to start all over again with the agent after I had provided all my information online with my reservation. A very POOR experience.

I stopped in and asked if I could have a hour grace period on return time. Was told no problem, I would not be charged for another rental period. Returned 40 min. past my drop off time. I was doubled charged for everything!! When I called back they were very rude!

Overcharged. Had the truck less than 2 hours went less than 5 miles, but was charged for 4 hours and over 20 miles. It was a local apartment move, my GPS calculated 4.6 miles total - didn't even make the gas gauge move. Returned without filling up, but somehow went 23 miles in 2 hours.

On checkout, the agent pointed out that the paperwork indicated I should have returned the truck a day earlier (24 hours) instead of the 2 days (48 hours) that I clearly and repeatedly told the agent who made the reservation. Other than that, all was well.

the person who gave us the keys didn't do a walk through with us because they said the truck had just been inspected before we arrived. when we went out to it, it had several scratches, dents and marks. since we returned the truck after hours, we never received a print out of the receipt- just an email confirming they got the keys we returned. I left the country immediately after using the truck and moving, so I never noticed that I was charged for using the dolly which is untrue because we never broke the seal to use it.

My reserved truck was rented to the people in line ahead of me with no reservations. Fortunately, there was a larger truck that they rented for the same price, but I have no trust that my reservation would be there again in future reservations!

First, the computer crashed while I was there. And then when I returned my truck, I was double billed for multiple items. In addition, the email address they gave me with my receipt bounced back when I tried to talk with them about my extra charges.
