I rented from Morena Storage, but was directed to pick-up the truck up at a "Mini Mart" which was essentially a liquor store in a sketchy part of town. The rental agent, who doubled as the liquor store cashier, manager, and maybe the owner. The truck was filthy! There were napkins, candy wrappers, plastic bags inside the truck and a sticky mess running down the passenger side window. I would've refused the truck, but being in such a really bad part of town I feared staying there any longer. When my wife dropped me off I told her to lock the doors and get out of here! It was 10:00 AM and there were people on drugs and/or alcohol at the front of the store and then I had to walk through an alley to the back of the store to get my nasty/dirty truck. Avoid this location!!

This was my first experience with U-Haul and I could not be more frustrated with it. The smallest issue was the garbage that the previous renter had left in the back of the van. The most annoying issue was that I tried to check in online ahead of time, but after a long rigmarole of an online process and having to submit my learners permit to a Uhaul representative even though I’d already submitted the required info of the person who would be driving the van for me, I was told I could not check in online and would have to find the attendant for help. Well, the attendant decided to show up for work 45 minutes late and open up shop first before he’d even acknowledge me or my problem. He was very lazy, slow-working, and clearly has no regard for customer service at all. I will not be using this service for future moves again. So irritating.

My ratings have nothing to do with the people or service at this location. They were great. However if Uhaul wants to increase their "pick up locations" while lowering their overhead they need to offer a much more generous discount on rental rates to their customers. After all we are the ones that are left waiting while other liquor store patrons are purchasing items and we are the ones that need to navigate the vehicles into the tightest spaces because there aren't clearly designated Uhaul parking spaces. The added so call convenience of nearby locations is quickly erased by these other INCONVENIENCES

The uhaul itself was clean on the inside but reeked of beer/foul smelling odor. The inside of the drivers cabin also had a overwhelming cigarette smell. Luckily I wasn’t moving far so we didn’t have to be in it for long, but any farther and it would have been a dealbreaker. Didn’t feel like i could have kept furniture or anything that absorbs smell in the truck for very long either. Made multiple trips just so things wouldn’t sit in the uhaul and end up smelling like a dumpster when I got to my new place. The location itself wasn’t bad, just not super well kept. Only positive was the people at the location were friendly and the check in and return process was very quick and easy.

It was hard to find the site, it needs a more prominent sign. The van was dirty and needed to Hoover the inside before use. Also the gas was slightly below full but marked as full. Otherwise it was a good experience. I'd prefer if I could opt out of the insurance except for cdw, as I am already insured.

It’s not obvious from outside that this is the uhaul station, could use better sign out front (Location is a minimart primarily).

The mobile check in option is extremely cumbersome and time-consuming. Many of the steps like taking pictures of yourself/driver's license, the color blind test, and listing a referral contact can all be done prior to arriving at the location. Ordering these steps to be completed AFTER arriving at the U-Haul makes no sense and can affect people who are on strict timetables.

The owner is super friendly. He made the experience very painless. Definitely recommend. Be patient, he’s running the store and UHAUL by himself. Very nice guy.

This was not the location closest to where I wanted to bmove stuff, ended up driving 20 extra miles , the location this place is at was too far and the attendant very rude.

Customer service from the store employees was very poor. They took care of all other customers before renting the Uhaul to me, even though we were there first. They also stopped in the middle of processing my order to help other customers. The same thing happened during return of the Uhaul.

I was told that the gas tank was full to 1/8th. The tank was not even one half full. This was a severe safety issue. I reserved the truck at a location by my house. When I got there they did not have a truck and I had to go to another location. This cost me about 2 hours of time and money because I was paying two men to move me. Bad experience.

When I presented the credit card I used for payment the clerk insisted it was the wrong card because my card did not have the expiration date as the one listed in the system. None of my cards have the expiration date of the one he claimed was on my payment confirmation. The last four digits of the card listed on the receipt matched my card, which I pointed out to him. He said "Yeah, but the expiration date dosn't match", to which he could not find where on the receipt the expiration was listed. When I told him I would not have been able to receive a confirmation with an incorrect expiration date he dropped the issue. It was apparent he was confused and not looking at the correct fields in the system. I had ordered the additional insurance, and when we finished the transaction he gave us the key and receipt, but no confirmation of insurance. I went back to inquire, and he insisted he had given it to us. I showed him all he had given us, so he checked his area and found that he had absent mindedly balled up our proof of insurance and had thrown it in the trash. This leads me to be hyper vigilant to check against erroneous charges. The clerk was distracted and confused and needs additional training.

UHaul should make a better price estimate when checking-in and give a higher estimate rather than lower to not trick people into choosing Uhaul. There were some costs that were not included in the estimate but I was charged with at the end of my rental which was VERY misleading.

Although the location was in a sketchy part of town, the equipment was well maintained and the person who issued it to me was very helpful and friendly. It is in a liquor store but don't let that deter you as it almost did me. I read the reviews and started searching for other locations but I'm not upset at all that I ended up here!

My pickup reservation was at 8AM. The store was supposed to open at 8AM. I had hired movers starting at 8AM on the assumption that that was when I would pick up the truck. The store clerk shows up at 830AM and casually jokes that he slept in. When I informed him that I expected to pick up the truck at 8AM, he blamed ME and said that I shouldn't have made the reservation for that time. Because of his lateness, I had to rush to make my schedule and I also lost over $50 because I had to pay the movers overtime (since I couldn't use them at all during that first half hour). The regional manager that I spoke to on the phone was nice and understanding, but because of the Minit Store Clerk, I will not be using Uhaul again.
