The individual who I was dealing with was INCREDIBLY rude. I asked her name & believe it was Angie, if the information I was given was correct. When asking if I could leave my car in their parking she said "No, you can't park there" rather than something like "No, i'm sorry our gate closes at a certain time, and no vehicles can be left overnight." I asked if I could just leave it for an hour or two until someone could drive me back. Her response -"No." When I returned the vehicle I went to the wrong location because there was a misunderstanding (they never told us where to return so we assumed any U-haul) I was on-time at that location, and because my phone was not working and I had no other means of direction I asked the employee to print directions to the correct location. I arrived 30-45 minutes later than my scheduled time. When I arrived she was not sympathetic to the mistake at all, and charged me the second day's rate as well. When I arrived I was trying to park out of the way of the gate where self-storage traffic drives, but I'm horrible at driving a 15' truck. She came out of the store & told me I could park along the fire lane (which I was trying to do), and I said "I'm trying but I'm horrible at parking it might be a minute." She replied, "Well you can't park where you are, you're blocking the entire gate," and walked off. ("Where you are" refers to about 3 feet away from the curb she was asking me to park on). I asked if she could help direct me, seing as I just told her I'm horrible at driving the truck, and she acted like I asked her to do it herself. FINALLY, when I was checking out she told me "your total will be 205, do you want me to run your card on file?" I was a little shocked it was so expensive (for 24 hours & 30 minutes), but said, "yes that's fine." She apparently didn't hear me and asked, "do you want me to run the card?" I said a little louder "YES." & she smirked & laughed for some unknown reason. I had refueled the tank (40$) to put it back where I got it, but she also charged me $22 because it apparently wasn't where it should have been. If that is true, I understand that's the policy, but it was incredibly close if not on the correct spot. When I told her I paid the $40 for gas - again, no sempathy at all. She is the WORST customer service individual I have ever, in my life, had to deal with. No enthusiasm, giving me minimal information/help, wanted to be anywhere but there, and completely rude to other customers as well. I actually saw another customer of the self-storage come in to tell her that she had a Penske truck inside the gate, but it broke down & though the technicians were working on it they might need to get it towed. Angie responded, "well I suggest you get it towed as soon as possible because you can't leave it here after closing." The customer & the technicians were clearly doing whatever they could to get the Penske up and running, but they knew that might be impossible, and they were ki

We called and needed something to move a table for one hour so they rented us a van (all the home depot trucks were already rented out). Said it would be $19.95 for 4 hours. Never said anything about the other charges. We returned the truck in one hour and it totaled out at SIXTY DOLLARS! $60! They never said anything about the mileage fees. Will never use this service again.

The van was filthy inside and out. It smelled. Tank not filled even though gas station right next door. Tank on 5/8. Expected to fill tank to exact same 5/8 upon return. How??? When truck returned we were short by 1/16. Again, hard to judge. Uhaul wanted to Charge us $15. We had to go back to gas station. How bad is that given the cleanliness of the van. I had to put plastic bags on the floor to keep my furniture from getting dirty. No apologies from staff and no manager on duty. Worst rental experience ever. You should be ashamed.

The truck cab had partially eaten Hostess donut and cupcake wrappers on the floorboards that rolled from under the passenger seat and the rear portion had dirt and dust on the floor when picked up. I had to wait close to an hour to rent the truck because the U Haul computer system was down and the employee first told me she couldn't rent the reserved truck to me because of it. They finally found the hand written forms after searching for over 30 minutes. When I returned the truck, she said the system was up and she had to redo everything over again which took another extra 45 minutes.

The attendant seemed a bit "put out" that she had to park the truck herself after I brought it back. I did not feel comfortable trying to back it into the tiny parking spaces that they have at the location.

The vehicle had a odor and ran like it needed to be serviced. The people were not at all friendly and I would not recommend to friends because there is no drop box for afters. I also recieved the vehicle with a partially full tank. I over filled the tank and there are no refunds for over filling. You are welcome Uhaul.

I should have been more cautious renting from this place. The gas was on the F, when I got my 15' moving van and I signed off that the vehicle was full of gas. 36 total miles later I was done moving across town and back at Associated Self Storage of Miramar to return the rig. I had just put 3 gallons into the tank at the gas station across the street. During the check back process I was rudely told that I hadn't filled up the uhaul with gas and would be charged I told them I'd just put in 3 gallons and showed the receipt. They said this was not sufficient since the the tank was not back on F. I was forced to go back to the gas station around the corner and put an additional 4.5 gallons ($19) into the tank. I went back to to Associated Self torage of Miramar, my credit was charge for the final mileage and remaining balance. I left very unsatisified even after voicing my concern about putting almost $28 with of gas into the truck. I'm ultimately upset since I used the vehicle for 36 miles, put 7.5 gallons into the tank, and had to deal with dishonest people. -Derek Veenstra

The lady at the reception was not very friendly. She seemed annoyed by a couple of questions I inquired. I don't expect and dislike fake/bubbly customer service. I do expect at least some decency in the dialogue. The lady seemed eager to get me out of there. I like uhaul, however, I would not rent from the same location.

The customer service at this location was bad. They made me give them my phone number then they called it and made me show them that my phone was ringing to verify that it was my number. I have rented U-haul trucks before and never seen this policy. This place made me feel like they think their customers are criminals. Very unprofessinal in that way. Will not be using this location again.

After seeing the bill three days after turn and finding the charges FOUR TIMES what I agreed to when I signed for the van I will never use UHaul again. This is a serious breach of trust to the customer and a huge bait and switch operation. UNACCEPTABLE

Make sure you don't overbook and if you have overbooked please make sure customer knows about it. Overbooking problem I had was mostly because of UHaul mistake and it has nothing to do with this particular location. People at this location was trying to push uHaul mistake on me when it was clearly not my fault, I did what I was suppose to do and uHaul is the one who screwed it up.

I needed to change the location of my rental to this location after I discovered that the original location did not have the vehicle I needed to do my move (previous renter not back at agreed upon time). The associate I spoke with was not allowed to change me over, I had to call another number (not even a transfer) to have this done. Very inconvenient and not effortless customer experience as I needed the vehicle right away (even if I didn't!). After that "detail" was taken care of, the associates at Kearny Villa were great! Very helpful and personable.

I would prefer to rent any vehicle with the gas tank full instead of at some random level. It's so much simpler to top off a gas tank prior to returning the vehicle rather than fill the tank to a partial level.
