I scheduled the truck for 12pm and listed my preferred location at Broderick and Sutter. Both my text confirmation as well as online indicated I would be picking up the truck there. I arrived at noon and was told the truck was not there and I needed to go to 100 Valencia. I didn't get an update via text n the new location until after 12 PM when I was already en route. There needs to be better communication between locations and to the customer as this shifted my move timing quite a bit by the time I actually returned from Valencia to move my things. Overall I was very disappointed with the communication and experience.

Everyone I interacted with was very nice and answered any questions I had. Everything that I placed a reservation for was there and it worked out well. This isn't particular to this location, but I do feel like UHaul should be a bit more transparent in their advertising about charging per mile you use - it's still an economical option, but the charge never really amounts to 19.99/day. Everyone at the U-Haul Downtown Box Store location was nice and answered my question. I appreciate that with my guestimate on how many miles I was going to drive, they were able to give me an idea of how much the total would be. thank you!

The truck was dirty on the outside, but fine inside. It was definitely banged up, too. My other complaint is about U-Haul's policy of giving you a vehicle with 3/8ths of a tank, and asking you to get it back to that level, which is goddamn hard to do without overfilling. I got some bullshit answer from the employee about why U-Haul doesn't just operate like EVERY other rental company, and require customers to return the vehicles with a full tank. To be fair to the employee, it's not his fault that the company has an asinine policy. My gripes aside, overall, the experience was efficient, quick and easy. I'd likely use U-Haul for this sort of thing again.

I called 2 days before the reservation to ask if I could park my car in their lot while I rented a UHaul van for 4 hours, and was assured I could. When I arrived to pick up the van I was told that i could NOT do so, even though there is a huge parking lot which had plenty of room in it and relatively modest activity. I had to park in a local lot for $15, which I could have avoided had I been given accurate information on the phone. I was and remain very upset and will look for different options in the future.

I was informed shortly before my pickup time that my reservation time ended after they closed and that I would either need to return it by 4:30 or I would need to return it the next day, because they do not have late drop off. Luckily, I was able to pick up the van a little early and make it by 4:30, but it did make the process rushed. I think that your reservation system should not allow for an end time that is post closing if that location does not have the option for late drop off.

At first my family and I went to this location 1525 Bryant St San Francisco, CA 94103. (415) 252-0133. (Alameda & Bryant) but the clerk there very unprofessional I was asking for a 10" But she keep saying that no 10" available on this location. I ask that if she can help me to fine a 10" in another location she say she was very busy not able to help that's not customers service there service at this location 1525 Bryant St San Francisco, CA 94103. (415) 252-0133. (Alameda & Bryant) is poor and the clerk unprofessional......

What I see that lacks greatly is the customer service. Fortunately, my personal experience with this Uhaul location was barely good enough. However, the true issue was seeing how the workers treated the other customers. It was unprofessional and sadly pathetic. All of the workers that were present seemed to not care. Customers including myself were not given a clear description on how certain things worked when it came to rental or payments. Its ridiculous to see a workspace of a bunch of twenty something year olds barely giving any effort to their customers. All of this is coming from someone who is younger than these guys. These workers must really hate their job to have their personal disinterest spill over into a professional environment. Good luck running a disorganized business.

Windshield was dirty and no water in the wiper thing to clean them. My first reservation had to be cancelled because the person who reserved the van said I could drop it off after hours, but when I arrived (after a lot of personal challenges to get here in time) they told me that I could NOT leave it...so I had to rearrange all of my plans and people who were going to receive me to a different day. The person at the desk was not that moved by my troubles.
