Was told that I had a 24/7 vehicle but rep that gave me the keys at pickup failed to tell me that the location was not a 24/7 After Hours drop off location but confirmed my 10:30pm drop off time anyways. I come back to this location at 10:30 to return the vehicle only to find the fenced lot locked with a heavy metal chain, and the parking lot next to the office completely full. Was on the phone with Customer Service for over an hour trying to figure out best course of action, only to have them tell me that I had to drive my rental home and come back in the morning to drop it off during normal business hours. By the time I got home it was past 12:30am, and all I received was a $15 gift certificate "for my inconvenience." Julie at Customer Service line was great. The service reps at this location leave much to be desired. I would have never booked this reservation if I had known that I would've been locked out and unable to return my rental at my desired drop off time.

The Uhaul team members were extremely courteous and flexible (when I had to move up my same-day reservation by phone a couple times by a few hours each). The rental 7' van was prepped and ready when I arrived and made my rushed moving experience much easier. I returned the rental van at this same location only a few minutes before the posted closing time of 8pm and the sole worker was more than happy to close my rental immediately despite being so close to or at closing time. Great people to do business with.

The online reservation system is pretty terrible. In order to edit anything about the reservation, you have to completely start over from the beginning. Also, once I finally created a reservation, the website and app showed me completely different pickup locations.

I was charged a $30 fuel fill up fee and for 2 gallons of gas and if you look at the odometer mileage I went 8 miles. Seems pretty excessive.

First off, I want to make it clear that my service at this location was excellent. I did the online check in process and the men behind the counter were helpful and checked in with me while I was doing this. With that being said, the vehicle had a cracked tail light, the check engine light was on, and the parking lot is so small that you have to drive on the sidewalk in order to exit the parking spaces near the end. The parking situation and maneuvering out of the parking lot alone are the reasons I wouldn’t recommend this location. The van was fine but also could use some work as noted above. Over all it was a fine experience, I just hope to never have to do it again.

Dear Uhual, the van came on empty, I drove less than 5 miles before the Elight went on for the gas. I put $20 in gas and you still charged me $5.95 for gas, that is really weak. There is understaffage here. Long wait times and you have to go inside the office to get a human, there should be someone stationed there at the parking lot. The vans should come on full, not empty. This van obviously had been to Burning Man and was still saturated in dust. Another good scrubbing with a scrub brush is warranted inside of the van. Its a very expensive $1 a mile so that is my feedback.

Everything was great besides I was in hospital due to battling cancer an I personally forgot to extend my contract an when I got discharged from hospital I attempted to extend the contract an the gentleman on the phone said I couldn’t and I would have to follow the tow truck, (which they sent somebody to tow it) an I did not have a way to follow them, and I mentioned that an the gentleman on phone told me “well I’m sorry there is nothing I can do about that” i understand I was late on payment but due to the circumstances I thought they might be able to understand an have a little sympathy for my situation. I felt that was a little in professional and he didn’t even try to help me at all.. I would never recommend U-Haul to a friend because if any situation came up they would just tow the truck away an notice any options, the location was great, I called San Mateo rentals an they told me that is un professional an that they would Understand my situation and let me extend it without any doubt
