They didn't bother to inform you that they'd charge you for insurance when you actually have the option not to. They said they ran out of vans but I saw a bunch of them parked in the lot. Forced me to pay more per mileage for the bigger truck. I was moving 2 miles away and the total came out to $50+. Scam. Poor customer service. Telling everyone I know not to become a customer.

I picked up the truck a little after 1:00 pm on 6/26. The office was closed because the employee was on break. When he opened, he was nice, but there was no inspection of the vehicle. I tried to call about 20 times to see if I could return the truck the next morning. Every time I called, the voicemail was full and the message was not even for U-haul. I triple checked the correctness of the number I called. I even emailed, and no response. When I returned the key, again there was no inspection (the guy was on the phone). Today I got an email stating that I was charged for damage (which is simply not true). I made three runs to a storage unit, refilled the gas, and there were no incidents. The office still can not be reached!

Went to this store after my reservation was at a closed location and got sent an hour out of Oakland to get my van.staff at Oakland coliseum location were not helpful and am not recommending

Jaime Galarza gave me the best customer service I've ever experienced at u-haul. I was in and out with the keys in 5 minutes. Give this man a raise or promote him! He's displayed himself with the upmost professional manner while serving me as his part of his duties. I wish to compliment this man with the highest order of praise for his unswerving devotion to his work and customers to ensure the smoothest of business transactions take place within the establishment. Easy pick up. A few mins. to adjust mirrors and get acquainted and then I was off. I found everything was pretty easy despite the fact I'm not used to driving such a large van. Even backing up was fairly easy - just go very slow. Gas tank was on my side and I easily gassed up. There are loops on the floor if you need to tie down any loose items. I dropped off at my leisure after hours, locked up, double checked everything and dropped my key through the slot. Easy, reasonable price and I'll rent again.

If you need to rent a truck definitely go here! The guy behind the counter was super nice and had me in and out in a few minutes. The 15' truck was clean and made moving oh so easy. They also have a lot of moving supplies in the shop which was also very handy.

I was very disappointed with the clerk at this branch, did not bother the seating of the rental pickup truck had dog hair, he then charged it (cleaning Service usagae) as it was my fault after the usage of the vehicle, (I personally don't have a dog or my brother who were with me) I wouldn't recommend this specific branch and the clerk was insincere for not checking the vehicle thoroughly before it handing over it to me for rental usage.

my final statement invoice charged me for an extra 140 miles that I had not driven and the return time was off by 4 hours. Charging me an additional $130 dollars of service that I did not even use.

I was informed that I needed to return the van by 4pm. When I went to return the van, the associate did not even recall giving me a "time to return". Thus, making me rush my moving process the day of renting the van.

Arrived at 11:25 for an 11:30 pickup time. There was a note on the door saying that someone would be back in 20 minutes; however, I had someone waiting for me to pick something up at noon. I did not receive the truck until 11:50, after waiting for the (very rude) attendant to come back. I called customer service who told me that someone within the location would call me within 3 days; however, I received no such call. After calling customer service for a 3rd time, they told me that someone had sent me an email saying they offered me a $25 gift certificate. Why would I use a gift certificate if I don't plan on using U Haul's services again after such a horrible experience? The representative opened up the case again, and now I should be hearing from someone again. Let's see if that actually happens, though...

Although I have rented from U-Haul many times throughout the years, my only recommendation this time is to make sure the renter knows when the return time is for the rate given. I also like to thank Mr. Jason Soares for his prompt and professionalism in correcting charges made due to my own misunderstanding. 5 stars for customer satisfaction!

I did not get the van that I was "guaranteed" and the truck smelled of smoke and had ash on the inside. Also, I was not told that I did not get credit for returning the tank with 8 gallons more than when I received it. I called the number of the store but it got forwarded to some random voicemail with a different number. I then called Customer Service who said I should put in a "Request for Refund" for the 8 gallons, and then he put me back into the Customer Service queue! I Please refund my 8 gallons at the same rate that you charge ($4.50 a gallon x 8 = $36) immediately. Thank you. cc: joe_shoen@fc.uhaul.com
