The drop off process was worse than the pick up process. At the unhaul in Manteca, CA I was informed that I could return to any uhaul location in San Leandro, CA. The first uhaul that I attempted to drop off at was closed. This was not made apparent through the uhaul online website or through my initial pick up location. I found out this uhaul was closed Dec. 19-22 upon arrival. I next attempted to drop off the truck at a location on Washington St. This was the most tedious process. The personnel refused to accept the truck because he could not locate my information on his computer. He recommended that I call the customer service number. I called the customer service number. The customer service representative said that the personnel at the Washington location could return my truck without my information. She said that it shows that my drop off location was at Washington St. She also stated that she did not understand why the personnel would not simply accept the truck keys. I relayed to customer service the difficult time I was having with uhaul that day. She explained that I would need to contact a different customer service number to express my concerns. I begged the Washington St. personnel to please just take the truck keys and figure out the logistics at a later time because my ride was in the parking lot waiting for me. He still refused to accept the keys until my information populated in his computer. He asked that I attempt to take the truck to a third uhaul location to drop off. I refused. After remaining on the phone with customer service for several minutes, my information was finally received and the personnel finally accepted the truck keys. THE ENTIRE ORDEAL WAS RECORDED according to the customer service representative. I was informed that I was charged for additional mileage. I would not have been charged this additional mileage had I been allowed to pick up the moving truck in Lathrop as originally scheduled and if I was able to return to the first uhaul drop off location. This was my first and last time renting from uhaul. I have rented from Enterprise Rent a Truck several times. Although their price was $20 more, I would not have had such an awful experience with Enterprise Rent a Truck. I will never rent from uhaul again. I will recommend Enterprise Rent a Truck to anyone looking for moving trucks in the future.

Windshield wippers were completely done. Made nails on a chalkboard noises the entire time they were on. Almost had a few accidents because I couldn't see.

The website needs improvement. I booked a truck with dolly for Sunday morning and when I got to the location which was 40 minutes far my home and when I got there, the dolly wasn't available. I had to stop at several uhual stores on my way back in order to find one! My move has been postponed about 4 hours with movers waiting for me and I had to pay them for the waiting time! Also k couldn't leave on time from mountain view to Los Angeles I had to stay in the hotel. Today after a hard long trip and move, when I head over to return the uhual, the address wasn't mentioned in the contract, so I had to call the customer service. when I finally got there. no one was in the office, it wasn't any clear indication for the Dropbox, all I found just a note on the door with a phone number. I called the number. No one answered and I was in a rush, finally I had to call again the uhual to solve the problem. I was very disappointed with disorganization and I got so much stressed out.

I've used u-haul services many times prior to this one. On 09/14, I picked up my u-haul from the 15201 Washington Avenue location in San Leandro. The man behind the register did not step out from behind at all. All he did was ask for my credit card and handed me the key. When we got intro the truck - it smelled terrible, had 1/4 of gas left, and was filthy. In addition, the dolly and blankets I had already paid for to rent for my move were not in the truck. When we returned on Saturday, the man took 45 mins trying to figure out what he was doing. He made no conversation whatsoever, and did not acknowledge that he owed me $ for not having any of the items I requested on the truck. In addition, we filled up the tank and did not drive the allotted 50 miles, but rather only 40. Yet the charge came out to be ludicrous - $227 total for renting the truck in addition to the charges/taxes on items I never received. That's $75 over what I was quoted originally, including the rental items. I asked why, he raised his voice and slammed his window and said "I don't know what any of this is so you need to go to uHaul to figure that out". I will never, ever use this location again. My experience was terrible and I will be calling for a refund/compensation for the lack of customer service, the absence of the tools I already paid for, and the fact that I stayed under contract by not going over miles AND filling the tank up.

Mostly U-Haul system problems with proper truck not at assigned facility despite confirmed internet reservation in hand. Subsequent facility did not honor rate quoted by the staff that arranged the truck at the second facility..

Self pickup via UHaul's app was not available at this location as was expected. The proprietor had no sense of customer service nor courtesy. I was charged for pads which I did not order. The odometer was very difficult to read from the dashboard. Overall experience was very disappointing.

Clean the trucks inside, have the equipment that you reserved they did not nor did they call in advance to let me know. Had to go to another site just to rent a dolly. Didn't have the check in sheet or check out sheets for the damages already on the truck or form to let them know the mileage or gas had to take a picture for my own records . Poor service!
