The trailer door got stuck fully open. It was stressful getting it down. My son hurt his hand trying to free the lock latch. The customer service at this location was exceptional. Excellent phone and in person service!

I was asked to call if I was going to be late, and I called three times and no one ever picked up. Not a big deal because I wasn't charged, but I think communication could be improved. can't a designated staff walk around with a cell phone? And, the truck was quite old, labored, but did the job. I always appreciate this Uhaul, used it in SB for 30 years ... thank you, stay well!
Equipment is not enough to be ready to the reserved customer for long distance. I had to wait for 1 hour till the 20 feet equipment returned to this branch. But appreciated that $50 compensated to me.
Would have been nice if they could guarantee the equipment that you make a reservation for. Was pretty upsetting when the didn't have the 15 footer that I requested. Now I have to rent a trailer or another 10 foot truck sometime to complete my move. Maybe that's what U-Haul wants you to do though...
GENERAL MANAGER HAD NO IDEA HOW TO DEAL WITH A CUSTOMER WHO ONLY HAS ONE PHONE CONTACT. I HAVE NO OTHER EMERGENCY CONTACT, I USE 911. MORE EDUCATION IS NEEDED AT YOUR LOCAL DEALER LEVEL.
Only one person to check customers out. Had to wait a long time to pick up my equipment. I entered in information online and the clerk asked for the same info. Basically, the check in and check out process is clumsy. Also, lack of friendliness.

Excellent attitudes in addition to the excellent service. You can hire them for their service, but their attitudes speak well of themselves. Good job organizing the computer/personal service to work seamlessly with your customers and employees...makes everybody happy when things go as planned...
Gas tank was nearly empty and mileage was way off from what the starting mileage in my contract said. Had to spend an extra 30 min at the store while they did a new contract to fix those errors and then still had to go directly to the gas station before actually getting anything done.
The truck was filthy inside and out. I was moving a sofa and had to put sheets down to protect the sofa from the filthy truck bed
George at the Santa Barbara location was fantastic. I had many things that did not go according to plan, including U-Haul changing the truck size I needed. I was very stressed out and George was always pleasant and went out of his way to do everything he could to help and make things easier for me. Thanks again!
The after hours return webpage did not function correctly. The service crashed everytime a picture was attempted to be uploaded.
When we picked up the U-Haul it only had a quarter tank of gas we filled it up with $70 of gas drove 236 miles dropped it off with a quarter tank of gas and was charged $47 for gas by U-Haul, we were told it had half a tank when I phoned to ask about the charge, of course I have no way to prove it only had a quarter tank when we picked it up but me and my husband both commented on it as soon as we got on the road saying I thought they gave you a full tank when you rented a u hail and it only has a quarter tank so we stopped first to get gas. Extremely frustrating to wind up spending a total of $127 on gas for a 236 mile trip
The team was quick and efficient getting me in and out quickly. The sanitization practices were all in place and appreciated.
The supervisor that works there was very rude. I believe he may be prejudice against whites, having a bad day, someone who shouldn't be working with the public
Daniel/ Humberto was excellent! He had great customer service. We felt confident that he was very knowledgeable and able to answer all of our questions! We were in and out.
As a general contractor I often rent a trailer from this location. Friday night, Oct. 2, I reserved a 6' x 9' open trailer on the corporate line, for 10am Sat. Oct. 3 pickup. When I arrived a little after 10am I was told that there was no wiring extension available, and an employee was sent to Ventura to pick up the wire extension, and I'd have to come back in about an hour and a half. This is the first time I've been delayed like this, and I did notice how most of the rental trailers and trucks were gone, and upon my asking, was told that they were pretty stretched. While I can understand things happen, I'd like you to know there have been many times I've been in a spot and had to quickly work out a solution. There is another U-haul dealer less than a mile away, and a pro-active employee would have acquired a wiring extension from them and put me on my way, rather than drive all the way to Ventura. I lost a couple of hours of my day, and had to rearrange my schedule, and your store's employee lost a couple of hours, gas, and wear an tear on whatever he drove in. This is one of those things that shouldn't happen, and I hope my bringing this to your attention will help improve the operations at U-Haul.
They were not accommodating at all. I will also be leaving a Yelp review. I will never recommend this storage to any one. I have rented here 2 times. The first time was back in 2017 and it was a great experience. This last was HORRIBLE! Very unhappy.
The employees were very helpful. I took one size trailer and it was to big and asked for a smaller one. The switched the two trailers and did not charge me for the first one. Thanks
The wait time in line was a little long - only one person checking us in/out. An additional staff person would have helped expedite the process. I had to wait in line about 25 minutes even though I had pre-registered online.
