Being able to make direct trip one way instead of bring it back. The different is about 60.00 your cost 110. One way would be a lot better for party's going one way because, it makes more sense, not only for you but for the customer. Please get back with me.....Bob

Worst experience ever!! From the start I should have known this was not going to go well. Long short, rented truck from Ventura, called day before to pick up in SB, ding ding red flag. Now they did compensate for the miles to pick it up so we accommodated the inconvenience. 45 mins into our 300mile trip up north, the truck breaks down! My husband sat on the side of the road for 8 hours first waiting for roadside assistance, then a tow truck to take it to a location to have alllll our items repacked into a new truck. (Which the uninsured unlicensed "company" they sent damaged all of our wood items and washer/dryer then denied it) Meanwhile myself, sister, 2 dogs, my 2 year old and 5 month old arrive at our new house with no items to sleep on or fridge to put food in. Uhual puts us in a dirty, drug deals in the parking lot Ramada for the night while my husband drives over night 8 hours so that we have our things to move in the next day. Now a sane mind would think there would be some financial compensation for the loss of an entire work day for my husband ($300), the food expenses that accompanied not being in our home (roughly $70 for the 2 days) and a broken down truck we paid $1000 for...think again! I spent a total month getting the run around, this department, that department, the manager of the location completely Ignoring my messages, all for a rep to tell me uhh sorry nothing we can do about the movers damaging all of your wood items, you signed a waiver (like I was going to have my husband load a 26ft truck by himself :/), and ya you returned the truck on time (it was over a weekend) so there isn't grounds for a refund....seriously?! If I thought I could get any reasonable response I would continue, but it doesn't sound like I can do anything to convince them that this was not a $1000 moving experience we paid for. Absolutely shocked people can do business this way. Please take the warnings of these reviews and DO NOT rent a moving truck from here :(

I reserved a vehicle and you pulled it out from underneath me. There are 3 trucks that are going to be here when I need them but you will not honor your promise. GO to Penske in Goleta, they guarantee the vehicle!!!

Make it easier to move around inside your store. I have mobility issues, and found it difficult to navigate because of trip hazards. I would like NOT to have to walk around all the boxes for sale. A direct line to the service counter should be maintained open at all times.

The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The frustration I felt (and others standing in line) was associated with the reserved equipment not being available, forcing the staff to find equivalent equipment. A better method of tracking the equipment to assure it is available to fulfill the reservations would ease much of the customer frustration.

Very disappointed. I had a confirmed reservation for pickup at GOLETA MOTORS 5720 HOLLISTER AV GOLETA, CA 93117 for a 15' Truck. This location was chosen as the only one available at the hour near 7pm, for which I was passing thru that section of Highway 101. When I arrived they did not have the vehicle I reserved. They also did not seem to care at all. They told me to call the 800 number for U-Haul to work it out. A customer rep was able to direct us to a different location at 4417 HOLLISTER address to compromise with a 10' truck and 12' trailer. This was very inconvenient and wasted over an hour of our travel time. The only person that was really helpful and understanding was the manager, John, at the 4417 HOLLISTER location. The compromise worked to get the job done, but it was very stressful driving a vehicle with a long trailer. I can't express how disappointed I am with U-Haul. At this point, I have no intention of working with U-Haul again.

Upon pick in up the equipment the agent (owner said in his nametag) was not courteous and helpful unless we ask for. In fact we never were told that for set up the car in the autotransport we were charge $20. The matters is not the money is that in any process of the reservation, customer service call and pick in up we were told of this charge. Disappointed. The truck was old and dirty in the cab and cabin us well.

Website indicated $19.95 + $.60/mile + insurance and taxes. The mileage charge far exceeds amortized cost and there was no mention of my having to pay gas too! The rental ended up costing $78 to move $40 worth of dirt!!! I'll find a better solution next time.

The front counter representative did not point out where to drop off the keys after hours so when I returned it after hours I had to park my truck and take my keys. When I returned it the next day I got charged 2 days even though I had less than 24 hrs and they did not give me any break. The truck was fine but the representative were not as courteous as I hoped they would be. Any how I am sure this letter won't make any difference but I thought to give a try to see if it makes any difference. Also the gentlemen whom assisted me upon returning the truck did not care and pointed out that I should go online and complain if I am not satisfied.
