We sat for over 20 minutes waiting for someone to help us at equipment return, after approaching several (at least 3) employees to ask if there was anyone working returns. 1 response was "um" and then answered a phone and ignored us. Another was an employee standing around smoking a cigarette (ok, she's on a break, fine) who didn't actually reply but hollered towards the back of the lot towards other employees. Customer service = 0. Finally one employee did come to help at returns and he was great, but why did it take him 20 minutes to show up? And why couldn't anyone else say "we're busy, it'll be just a moment" or "be with you soon?" And why did WE have to approach any employees for this poor service? They should have greeted us if not immediately, within oh, the first TEN minutes? Extremely disappointed.

Very friendly and efficient. Everything was ready when we arrived. The employee hooked the trailer up to our truck and we were off. We drove 2400 miles and didn't have any problems.

We rented a 15' truck in October for less than $500 to go to CA. When we called about renting a 15' truck for the return trip to WA in June, the truck price had gone to $1,830. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY ABSURD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can understand a raise to $7-800 but not over three times what it was in October.

Eva and Robert Border were very very helpful as your corporate people were NOT! I reserved my UBox in March and they did not receive the trailer like I requested!!! I then had to take my belongings to the UHaul location to load my UBox. I had to rent a truck to do this instead of the trailered UBox which I RESERVED! Not happy with your corporate customer server either. Spent an hour on hold and then the UBox representative sent me back to the end of the queue without fixing my issues. Santa Rosa - specifically Eva and Robert were great! Corporate stinks and I probably will think twice before using you again!

The price on my final invoice was much higher than it should have been. I called, talked to a lady who couldn't figure the issue out & so she transferred me to Customer Service - I was on hold for over an hour before giving up & calling the location again. This time I got another lady who was able to help me a little, she took my number and an hour later a man called me and after two minutes on the phone realized their mistake and corrected it. So two major issues: 1) wrong totals on invoice, which I didn't get to see until I got the email, and 2) Customer Service line is not getting answered - I suspect that's UHAUL Corporate's issue.

The person that helped me at the counter with my check in was very short and almost rude pretty much rude when I picked up the truck. Then he gave me the oldest truck in the fleet that had problems all the way to my destination hot heat was pouring in on my feet and my kid's feet on the passenger side of the truck the truck would surge at 60 miles an hour wasn't sure I was gonna make it. I had reserved a utility dolly a month ahead and when I got there they had just given out the last one they had and then charged me extra for the appliance dolly I had to use instead.

When it gets busy, customers can "back up" and it can take a long time to be served. Perhaps they could have more employees trained to perform desk service. Staff members were courteous and knowledgeable.

I was in a rush but the staff wasn't; they didn't have the trailer I wanted so I had to rent one that cost more and I had return it sooner than I wanted (they told me it was reserved by another customer and couldn't give me the full 24 hours). And the nut that attaches the trailer to the tow-ball was cross-threaded which made it very difficult to remove and re-tighten (the yard guy knew it was like that and told me somebody stripped it).

Getting in and out of the uhaul van/truck (I rented a 15' with ramp), is becoming more difficult in my old age, esp with my increasing disabilities. I wish uhaul had an extra step they could install so it wouldn't be so hard to get in and out of vehicle, whether you're a passenger or driver. I fell getting out of rental truck/van because there is such a huge height to jump down from when getting out of vehicle. I have bad knees, back bad, and shouldn't have to get injured every time I have to move and need to rent a uhaul. One extra step would help and make a huge difference. A lot of people I have talked to about this have commented and agreed on how hard it is to get in and out of the vehicles. It would be a good improvement and benefit many people being easier to access the cab.
