Where to start it was a horrible experience.... I believe it started with U-Haul's reservation system itself. We reserved our car hauler dolly over a week before we picked it up. We needed a solid reservation as since we were traveling over 800 km we wanted to be back on the road the same day as not to incur added expenses of food motel stays excreta. U-Haul contracted me the day before changing the location pick-up in Sault Ste Marie to 194 Drive Inn Rd. fine we got there and had to wait a half hour while the fellow was busy doing his other job. He said the trailer was fine and hooked it up before we left I wanted to check the lights.... they did not work.... ne spent 45 minutes trying to get hem working. I told him it was not satisfactory as we were traveling a long distance. He tryed to unhook the trailer and couldn't the hitch release on the trailer was faulty, finally after much ado he had to use a pry bar to unhook it. Giving the guy credit he did locate another dolly at the original location 594 Second Line E Sault Sainte Marie, he said that we already pd. and we just had to pick it up. On upon arriving the agent at this location was a bit rude and told us we had to go back and get a refund from the location at 194 Drive Inn rd. As he would not rent us the dolly unless we paid him a second time ???? We drove back and the agent was on the phone with a buddy we waited over a half hour just to talk with him. He told us the other guy was wrong and sent us back.... We went back and waited another 45 minutes as there was no one at the desk..... finally after 2. 5 hours of frustration we finally got a good dolly. This delay caused us to miss the tow truck which was to assist us in loading the vehicle which made us wait till the next day we had to book a night at the Fairfield Inn at Sault Ste Marie another expense of $250. My son Paid for this rental and at the very least I think he should be reversed

Only issue was as I mentioned the fuel gauge was reported incorrect showed them a picture to verify, and they said it would all be fixed and then U-Haul still billed me anyways

steven dLiterally nothing. I’m astounded at the great service I got. I spoke to an agent from North Carolina. She was lovely. Then I had to call and change something. Next agent also lovely. Then I had several texts and emails explaining things to me. Then upon checkin the gentleman at Pidges Car Wash in Sault Ste. Marie Ontario was outstanding. He checked me in and gave me a few pointers. Incredible experience from beginning to end. U-Haul was decently priced, easy on fuel and easy to drive. 11/10 stars
