they charged for fuel. I returned it with well over what I received it with. Also the after hours return app did not work and cost me a lot of wasted time. I would not recommend Uhaul to ANYONE!!!!!

Maybe review a few things on the truck if someone like me asks. Not very helpful in that respect, but everything went fine.



This is the second trailer that I have rented from this location. The first one was in pretty rough condition. This one was worse. The only thing well maintained was the brand new tires. The frame was rusty, paint was bubbling and peeling, the wheel well covers were loose, the hitch was functional but temperamental. The final frustration was the surley attitude of the employee when I returned the trailer. He greeted me, but seemed quite put off that he had one more thing to get done today. Perhaps he was just having a bad day. If so, I am sorry for adding to his stress. One positive, the bill was correctly and promptly adjusted. I guess you get what you pay for.

when I drove the truck back into the service yard, the gentleman who was working returns said he would email me the receipt, and that I did not need to hang around. Well, the receipt came in with almost double the miles charged. I called their office and sent an email without any response. Needless to say this is the last time I will use U Haul and will make sure everyone I know realizes the horrible untruthful service that is offered.



Scott Smith is a great manager. Fantastic customer service! He is always helpful and accommodating. He is the reason I like to do all my Uhaul rentals from the Scottsdale/Hayden store. Several more rentals coming up and Scott will be my "GO TO" guy to work with!

Double check appointment times. We were scheduled for 8am pick up on a Sunday and Uhaul did not open until 9am. The trailer leaked and we had rain on the way home and when we opened the trailer contents were wet and damaged. Usually Uhaul we have a good experience, so hoping this was an isolated incident.



Honestly, the pick up and rental process was a breeze. We didn't reserve beforehand, so we were at the mercy of what was available when we arrived, but that's on us. What was not acceptable was the follow up customer service. I was supposed to receive a fuel credit for filling up the tank to a higher level, but it didn't appear on my rental contract. It took 4 days of contact/attempted contact to get things resolved: Call #1: On the same day as the rental, I called the location to address the issue with my contract. After being on hold for 5-10 minutes, I was routed to a call center who couldn't help with anything...except to send an "instant message" to the location. I was promised they would call me. They didn't. Call #2: The next day, I called the location. 5-10 minutes of hold music and back to the call center. He said he would have them call me. They didn't. Call #3: Two days after the rental, I called the location. Finally got to speak to a person at the bounced around to 3 people before speaking with someone who told me that she "doesn't really deal with this sort of request." When she was unable to figure it out, she said she'd have her supervisor call me in the next hour. They didn't. Contact #4: 3 days after the rental, I was in the neighborhood and went into the store. Despite being unable to find any evidence, I was credited the amount I should have been. I think he just processed the refund to appease me, which is fine...but it shouldn't have taken hours of my time to get a small contract issue like this rectified. Very poor service all around.



Great staff, products, and location!! Joel is awesome! Wish Dale was still there. Excellent customer service, always. I have rented a storage unit here in the past, and anytime I need a truck or packing / moving supplies, this is my go to spot. Highly recommend this Uhaul!

Check in and pickup was excellent and customer service 5 star. I called to extend my rental by about an hour. I had just turned in the van about 5 minutes earlier when I got called by a guy on location with an irritated and unfriendly tone questioning me about the van that was overdue and supposed to have been turned in at 6:00. I understand he is doing his job but I went through proper channels and called and had it approved so that should have been communicated to the store and he should be aware of inappropriate tone since I'd taken care of it but he just was not informed.

I dread every time i have to rent something at this place. I need to rent a trailer about once a month, and this is the absolute worst place i go. The customer service is terrible, and the experience of renting from this is horrendous. If i could find somewhere else that was in a decent distance from where I live, i would move my business there. I wish they would change, but every time it is the same poor/awful experience.

I was double billed - called a representative after hours (7:30 p.m.) to drop off vehicle. She asked for mileage and gas level. I gave her mileage and told her that I put more gas in than I used. She told me to put the keys in the drop box and that I was "good to go". Much to my surprise, the next day I received a copy of my receipt and I was billed for 2 days. (everything doubled) Even though they "checked me in" at 10:12 a.m. - still within the 24 hour window. (I picked up the truck at 11:30 a.m. the previous morning) I called the customer service desk and was told that a manager would call me. I believe that the "manager" was from the site that I rented the truck from and he told me that I was responsible to "check out" via the app - and that the customer service desk was not an appropriate vehicle to close out. Hence the two day charge - he said that he would "Make an exception" and remove the 2nd day charge but that in the future I needed to utilize the app or he would not be able to make such an exception. What really pisses me off is that when I rented the truck, the gentleman that rented me the truck asked me when I was returning. I said probably tomorrow morning, but that I only needed the truck for a few hours. He told me that it would "be great" if I could return that night because I was taking their last 17 footer and that he could probably rent it out the next day. As you can tell, the rental experience was great until the double billing and the manager's lame excuse.

When I called to talk with customer service at the 800# I was on hold waiting for over 20minutes before someone picked up. This is unacceptable and needs to be faster.



was charged a one way drop when I changed my one way open trailer to a closed trailer due to rain lights did not work on trailer 40 min to complete paperwork and hook up trailer was informed by drop location that I did not have to pay oneway



I was not notified that a truck rental must be returned to the original location, because of this I had to put double the miles than predicted.
