This location added at least 15 miles extra to my bill because it is so out of the way and exceptionally difficult to access. Why UHaul sent me there for a 10 foot truck when there is a much closer UHaul store in West Seattle with 15 foot trucks is beyond me. All I can think is profiteering at my expense. $130 for a 2 day rental is robbery. I'm very unhappy with UHaul at the moment and will tell everyone to avoid them like the plague.

So as far as Uhaul customer service in general (over the phone, number listed in Google for location on 15 thin Seattle) was a swing and miss. I chose a uhaul that I believed to be close and well-stocked near my place. The person who answered claimed to book me a van on 1800 Terry Ave. When I arrived I paid parking ($10 per day before tax), I was informed there were no vehicles currently at that location. However, I was told by Uhaul's main customer service hotline I'd get a $50 credit to my card. When I was booked in the next place (918 S Horton St), the place was great and service was impeccable! Overall great experience. Greatly resolved.

The staff in the office did not have me sign off on a damage report prior to releasing the keys. When I brought the van back they said there was a dent that was not there before and charged me $75 even though I had bought the insurance. It seems that if you are going to offer insurance it should cover all minor damage, not just that over $150. And the staff should ask the renter to look at and sign off on the condition of the vehicle before it is released to the renter.

Uhaul vehicles should have priority parking and not be difficult to remove from parking areas. I could have probably asked the very friendly and helpful office manager to pull it out for me, but didn't and once I was in the van it was very hard to back out from the nearly blocked in space where it was parked. The office staff at this location are very helpful but also seem to manage the entire building so service is sometimes slow. Overall though this is a great location.

the new van with the key fob is too big for the drop box. Had to go back in the morning to drop off key. But then if the hole is big enough for the key then its easy to fish for them. A conundrum.

They called me before 8am the morning after I used the U-haul to accuse me of not returning my truck. I had checked out from noon until 4pm. I had actually returned it at 3:30pm the day before. When I explained that no one was in the office and that I had used the key and contract drop box they immediately said that the person after me must not have found it. It was obviously resolved very quickly on their end but the incorrect message saying I had not returned the truck was not the best thing to wake up to.
