when I got there the hand truck and moving blankets were not in the truck. back was dirty, he had to clean it out first. I had to wait . My BIGGEST complaint was that I ordered the truck over 1 month early and I wanted to pick it up in Lewisburg, which was much closer for me. I got a phone call earlier in the week to say I could pick it up 25 minutes further south! Traffic is terrible there and lots of construction. When I called to ask if they could move the truck to either of the 2 closer locations I was told that was not possible!

U-Haul customer service was not helpful in correcting a problem with the designated drop off location. It was Saturday morning and the reps (called twice) kept transferring me to a Scheduling Manager who would not answer the phone. Long wait periods. Problem never resolved until I arrived at the correct drop off location. Customer Service is terrible. Your locations are good. You need to fix this.

I wanted to commend a Uhaul associate from a different location. My wife and I had rented a car carrier to bring home a car that I had bought her for her 65th birthday. On our way home from Philadelphia we stopped at a shopping mall and while my wife waited in the vehicle a very nice young lady came up to the vehicle and told my wife that she worked at the local Uhaul ( S 29th st, Harrisburg PA,) and noticed from across the parking lot that one of the tire straps was coming loose and then proceeded to get down on the ground and fix that problem and inspect everything else to make sure we were ok. I wanted to publicly thank Sarah for her act of kindness, something that you see less & less of these days. And I wanted Uhaul to know that they should value a dedicated associate like Sarah for representing thei company in such an excellent manner. Something else you see less & less of. So thanks again Sarah for being the kind, thoughtful person that you are. Know that you are setting a very good example for your precious little daughter. My wife thought she was adorable.

Not charge mileage considering the customer has to pay for the fuel they use anyways. Paying for mileage and fuel is not fair at all.

The manager Ben is horrible. He always gives me attitude and this time even swore at me. His employees are always complaining about him and he an never keep any because there is always someone new there. Uhaul needs to start rid of this guy! He’s horrible to people!

Maybe add one question on the online applications. How many seats are needed in the uhaul. There were 3 of us and only 2 seats. I asked were would the third person sit. I was told that’s what I rented. I don’t recall being asked how many it can seat. And without a third seat that would be illegal.

Get new employees. The customer service is horrible. No one knows what is going on and they double book. I rented a storage unit and truck. I will never rent from uhaul again.

Uhaul should be more selective in which independent contractors they work with through movers helpers. The movers I hired did not show up and won't return my calls or emails.

UHaul rapes the consumer with false advertising, with $19.00 ad's on the side of many of the trucks. Their is no such thing as I paid a premium for my local short use rental. $120.00 is far over the cost for 3 hours of use. That's bull-shit advertising.. Very sad, but real day living in our times. The exterior of the truck was dirty with mud and the representative at the counter was inexperienced. He stated that his normal position was installing hitches. I did not feel confident in his knowledge. The size of the truck that was suggested was totally incorrect! Last minute I needed to locate an additional way to transport 1/4 or more of my belongings. I told the representative that I had a 2 bedroom home. They ordered me a 15 foot truck which was for an apartment. I also paid for a Movinghelp.com company to pack my truck so that I would not have to. Due to the wrong size vehicle, I also then needing to locate people to load the 10 foot enclosed trailer that I was eventually able to borrow. The enclosed trailer was packed solid with the remaining items that did not fit in the UHaul truck. Very disgusted and aggitated with UHaul. Would not suggest this company to anyone.

Ramp on truck was broken, had extremely difficult time returning ramp inside back of truck. Had to get help and crawl under vehicle to get ramp to go back inside. It took about an extra half hour to get it to return back in the slot. You could visually see the broken area. Asked if unused blankets in original pack could be deducted from bill......attendant said yes, then changed mind later and said you rented them and we couldn't give or rent them to anyone else and was a bit rude about it. The principle of this is He said yes and them changed his mind.

FYI- Just rent a Penske! You will be much happier at the end of the day! ...If you don’t need a hand truck make sure you tell them to take the one out that they have mounted in the truck. I didn’t ask for a handcart but I ended up working around and tripping over the one they have mounted in there which they hope you will just go ahead and decide to use them they can nail you for another $7. Also they have a bag of blankets in there they will charge you for and they are in your way. I rented blankets but only opened some of the bags. They still nailed me for all of the unused ones cause I rented them so they won’t refund you but they sure don’t mind throwing there garbage in there ( hand truck and bag of blankets) that took up usable space which I paid to rent. Pissed me off to say the least. If I had realized they had a hand truck locked to the truck inside I would have told them to get it out of there before I left. Should have just went with Penske like I usually do. Lesson learned when dealing with crooked uhaul.

Sales person verified that I knew how to operate all features on the truck. He also verified that I did not need any additional supplies for my move. Very speedy check out and check-in process. No issues with the truck during the move. Overall a good experience.

Personnel claimed I did not pay for the extra day I had reserved the truck. I explained that I confirmed the extra day and total charges twice prior to picking up the truck. Personnel insisted I had not received that in my reservation. When I insisted on calling 1-800-GO-UHAUL to resolve the confusion, the personnel decided it wasn't necessary and that all charges had been paid in full.
