Two problems with your app on ipad: 1) Your app forms overflowed, such that I had to scroll the page left to get to the submit button, then back to the right to get the questions. 2) On the final page, I have to click to “read” the terms and conditions, and one other notice, before the checkboxes become “active”... but that is not at all clear. It would be much more intuitive if these forms were “steps” that would just have the text appear, with a “Agree / Next” option to move forward to the next step.

I scheduled for a 7 am pickup the location didn’t even open until 9 so I was an hour early and than the opener was 10 mins late. This delayed my moving experience as well as the whole trip there was a sensor on saying something was wrong with the vechile but it was fine.

I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND TO USE U-Haul COMPANY FOR ALL YOUR MOVING NEEDS. NOT JUST FOR A LOCATION THE U-Haul COMPANY ITSELF. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND TO FAMILY, RELATIVES, FRIENDS EVEN TO THE STRANGERS. IT WAS SO BAD. I don’t want any one to go through from what I’ve gone. I am not saying this out of my anger or prostration. I’m not even bashing the U-Haul company. I already moved on. Consider other company first then compare.

No staff was there to accept my key and van on Sunday morning. A fellow asleep in his car, who does towing for AAA, rolled down his window and took the key. THERE IS NO SIGNAGE FOR U-HAUL ON THE EXTERIOR OF THE PLACE -- IT JUST LOOKS LIKE AN UNDERPASS OR A DUMP. UBER DRIVER AND I COULD NOT FIND IT UNTIL WE MADE MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS. A waste of time and energy. Now that I know where it is, no problem, but anyone coming for the first time will be hopelessly lost.

I made my reservation for the location in Sherman Oaks. I even got the confirmation call 3 hours before my reservation confirming the location and the van I was going to get. I show up at the location to find that U-Haul moved my reservation to a completely different location WITHOUT TELLING ME and that they didn’t even have a van available at that different location. That was incredibly frustrating. The only redeeming factor was that the lady who was working the operation had very good customer service skills and was able to figure out the issue and also give me another vehicle that was available. Still, that was not an experience a person wants to go through when they only have one day to move to a new place and you show up to find out your reservation is messed up. It’s literally the purpose of your company to have the vehicle ready at the location and to communicate clearly if there is an issue and you failed on all accounts.

JoAnne was most helpful. Polite, knowledgeable and pleasant. The truck was easy to drive. I was not able to adjust the seat upwards, which would have helped. Having to walk through the soft dirt was more than dub-ideal and my least favorite part of the renting experience.

I have a couple of complaints/concerns.....I have rented vans frequently and here are my most recent experiences..... 1) I was told someone would be there on the 19th of Feb. for my return. However, the office was closed. The rep failed to mention this - in fact told me she'd be there herself. I had to take 10 extra minutes to call your 800 number and figure out another solution. It would've been nice to have the heads up and been told on how to handle the drop off. 2) it appears that each time I rent from you (which is for the full 24 hours) you try to charge me for 2 days. It seems rather sneaky. I didn't catch it the first time. Thought it seemed rather "high" but let it go. Then I caught on. I bring it back well within the 24 hours. It's never late, so not sure why you try to get an additional fee. But I know now to check. And sure enough, you did it again this time. My rep, Joanne has always been wonderful, and she fixes it once I point it out. 3) not sure whom I talked to the day before I went for p/u. But I called to confirm the rental of the van. The lady on the other end had a bit of an attitude when I asked her if it would be alright if I took the vehicle earlier IF it was on site and ready. I said I would return it within the 24 hour timeframe. She either didn't understand what I was trying to say, or just wanted to give attitude. Perhaps a quick reminder on how to give good customer service is needed. I'll rent from this location again because it's very convenient geographically, and the van has always been ready when I need it. Joanne, who has helped me 2 or 3 times now is always very pleasant and helpful. So these things I've listed won't stop me from coming back, unless they start to get out of hand. I wanted to share, SINCE YOU ASKED! and in hopes that you can address them.
