well, hazeltine location will never be much to write home about... however, the mgr. takes care of us, she’s very sweet, handles it herself, no-hassle rental... and the site is in total shade, even on the hottest days... so i will rent from here anytime to avoid van nuys uhaul.

Daniel Cromar and I came to the Uhaul on Hazeltine this morning to pick up the van and were told that although the office closes at 3PM we had until 6PM to drop off our van. The guy that helped us specifically said that we could park the van and leave the keys in the visor. We told him we would be back between 4PM and 5PM and he said he would make the return time to 6PM JUST IN CASE. When we showed up at 3:48PM there was no one there. I called the Hazeltine office and was forwarded to a customer service line and we spent the next 30 mins on hold being passed around from customer service rep to customer service rep. We also spent that time circling the area we were supposed to drop the van off because it is on a very high traffic block. When I FINALLY got on the phone with someone who could help, I was told first to keep the van overnight which is not an option for us since we are moving to Denver. She also argued with me about whether or not the Uhaul on Hazeltine received vans until 6PM but relented when I told her that the 6PM return time is LITERALLY WRITTEN ON THE FORM THAT WAS GIVEN TO US WHEN WE RENTED.

The entire lot was dirt and was extremely dirty. The people who helped me also seemed to be extremely rushed and never told me when they closed. This caused my moving plans to change.

Guy did not listen, and ended up getting wrong Van. As such, had to turn around and head back. Even through we were super clear on what we needed.

They didn’t give me the vehicle listed on my mobile check in. They instead gave me a different van with less than 1/4 tank of gas. Mileage and gas were incorrectly listed on the app. They would not give any explanation regarding the vehicle change.

This UHaul is in a terrifying location, under a highway overpass on a dirt lot that looks like a junkyard. There are random vehicles spread around, some covered as if they haven't been used in years. The office is an old trailer and there is no signage visible to let you know this is an authorized dealer. The staff were rude in every possible way. The pickup/checkout took over an hour despite there being no other customers there at all. (Except one who came in after me and was helped before me because his order was "easier" to process. I was left standing in a creepy parking lot for 20 minutes wondering why the woman in charge didn't come out after asking me to meet her near my car.) There were people there who "didn't work for UHaul" and refused to help. Friends and I wound up attaching the trailer myself. The manager threw things at me, yelled at me, etc. I left shaking and in tears. I can't imagine a worse customer service experience. I called UHaul and complained, but was given nothing in return for my experience being so awful. This place should be shut down.

Customer service at this location was terrible. I was given incorrect drop off information which caused me to make an unnecessary trip to the location. I was unable to drop off at the time I was told I could drop off. When I did drop off the truck the woman working there was rude, acted like I was inconveniencing her by coming in to drop off, and would not help me with a question I had regarding the rental. Told me to call the 800 number.

My reservation was moved to a far location, took forever after 6 phone calls to get a truck not even the one i wanted, and then the location where i got it misscharged me and was slightly rude and just wanted me to get it over with. I hate UHaul

This location sits under the 101 freeway, it’s not paved or asphalt, just DIRT LOT, so everything is always covered in dirt and dust. There is no possible way for equipment to ever be clean!! Everything else is average and it is a great location for that area..

The reservation process was a mess, and as a result, we were unable to obtain a family heirloom that had to be moved by 9:30am. In chronological order, below are the conflicting messages i received from your website, text messages, and customer support: - made online reservation for 8:30am pickup - received confirmation email for 8:30am pickup - received text message confirming 10:00am pickup - called customer support who confirmed a 9:00am(?) pickup - emailed customer support to reconfirm, was given 10:00am pickup time and no acknowledgement of the error/inconvenience - received confirmation email for 8:30am pickup - received text message confirming 10:00am pickup - was not able to pickup truck until 10:00am

Returned vehicle at 3pm, but no one was there to check it in. That resulted in several phone calls to correct another rental day charge and a gasoline charge of 3.5 gallons for 14 miles I drove the vehicle for. Someone checked in the vehicle - someone from the tow truck company and said I'd be emailed a receipt. I asked aren't you going to look the vehicle over and they he (Victor) told me no, I'd be emailed the receipt. It felt strange not getting closure when i dropped it off and it turned out my instincts were correct, but what choice did I have. Not very smooth at all and it still is not resolved.
