After returning the van I rented, I was hit with an additional $150 damages charge. The receipt shows that the employee at the rental center claims I “took the van through a car wash and dented the side”. There was no employee at the rental center when I dropped it off. I spoke with no one and there was no dent when I picked up the van or when I dropped it off. This story about a car wash is a complete fabrication. My wife and I were with the van for the 3 hours we had it, did no damage to it, and wouldn’t have taken a rental van through a car wash. Especially in a day between snowstorms. I called this morning and started a claim to dispute this ridiculous charge and regardless the outcome will never rent from that center ever again, and will likely do all I can to avoid renting from U-Haul again, and will recommend to everyone I know, not to rent from U-Haul again. Also, I paid for the additional damage insurance on the vehicle. This entire situation in unacceptable.

The parking lot was icy and dark. I had to make my husband come with me to return the truck I was too scared as a female to go to the lot alone in the dark.
Andrea HIt was my error I put pick up at 12:30 AM instead of PM so could not check in until we finally called and the time was updated so can I suggest that maybe as a prompt before signing off on any rental you have that person verify AM vs PM. Everything else went very well
Donna AHorrible experience. They changed my location 3 times. I booked a reservation 1 week in advance and when I got there to pick it up they changed it again. Which was 14 miles away so 90% of the money I had to pay was cause of that
