Took 10 minutes to get waited on. Truck was poorly maintained. Steering was VERY unsafe and loose. Gas gauge doesn't correspond with the actual gas level while filling the truck, bad business.

It would be better if you didn't have to wait ubtil the day before moving to find out when you can pick up your truck.

When we booked this rental is was to be picked up in at a specific location. They texted me the night before and notified me that we needed to pick it up at a different location 15 miles further than the original pickup location. This was a slight inconvenience. We also had paid to drop it off at a different location than where it was picked up. When we returned the trailer to that location we were told that they aren't a trailer facility and they shouldn't accept returns. We left the trailer there because we did not have the time to bring it to another location. In my opinion, UHAUL should do a better job of booking for the correct location or not if they don't have availability and making sure that they are able to give customers accurate information regarding pickup location/time and drop location/time. If there is a location or time availability change they should be required to actually speak with the person/renter not just send a text without a response.

the pick-up address given in the confirmation email was incorrect so we drove way 15-20 min out of the way - in a snowstorm!! we lost an hour of valuable moving time. when we told the uhaul guy, he just said 'yeah, that happens all the time. we don't have any control over that - the automated emails are sent from corporate.'. so my biggest suggestion would be to give the correct address for pick-ups.

Do not deliver U-Boxes to this location. They called to tell me that my U-Box was apparently grossly overloaded (it wasn't) and that they couldn't lift it onto a trailer. The forklift (which they said had a 5,000-lb. lifting capability) that was sitting next to the U-Box in the parking lot was visibly too small and not designed for the job. As a result, I had to pay to rent a truck and my movers had to work longer to move all of my stuff twice -- first from the U-Box onto the truck, and then from the truck into my home. At no other point in my move had U-Haul informed me of a problem lifting my U-Box, so I assume it was only this dealer who had trouble. This added unexpected expense and hassle to my shipment; I was lucky to have an independent moving company which was flexible and helped me deal with the obstacles.

I had a blow out on the trailer due to a leaky rim, this caused me a 3 hour delay. I told the road side assistance I needed a tire and rim and they only placed a new tire on the leaky rim. Ended up having to stop several times to keep the tire inflated so as not to loose it again. Again costing us valuable time on the trip.

We had a lot of bullcrap happen (on our end not Uhaul's) and the service and help Uhaul provided was amazing. All the staff were very friendly and professional. We needed a new key because the one we had got lost and Uhaul got us one within 25 minutes of our phone call (for a price of course). Over all it was a pleasant experience working with the staff at both Uhaul locations and their customer service department!!!

Throughout the process of our move, we rented 2 UHaul trucks. The first was through UHaul Moving and Storage on Marginal Way in Portland. While calling to inquire, they made us order and pay over the phone. When we got there, we still waited while they apparently re-input our information in the computer. The CSR could not figure out the computer, and made us wait longer while ignoring us and holding a conversation with the other CSR about the crappy computer. When he finally got it working, he proceeded to try to upsell numerous products despite us being very adamant that we already ordered and paid for what we needed. Then, he told us we could wait outside and someone would bring the truck right out. 20 minutes in freezing temperatures and the beat-up truck finally appeared. By the time it was prepped and checked-over, more than 30 minutes of time we had paid for was wasted. Returning it consisted of more waiting. Yesterday, we realized we really needed another truck to finish our move. This time, I called Pleasant Hill Auto Sales. They answered my questions pleasantly and let me know they'd have a brand new truck waiting for us. We showed up with 3 kids in tow. The 2 CSR's (Tyler and Marc) joked with the kids, gave them candy, and thanked my husband for his service when asked if they offer a military discount. They answered all our questions with a smile and a sense of humor, completed the whole transaction in less than 10 minutes, and really did provide us with a brand new truck- and for better value! The drop off? A quick drop of a key in a lock box was easy-peasy! I am a firm believer that positive service should be recognized. Therefore, I want to thank Pleasant Hill Auto Sales for providing us fast, kid-friendly, and professional service. It made all the difference in taking the frustration out of our previous rental experience. Thank you!

This location told me that insurance was "required and not optional". Is that even legal??? It doesn't seem right to me that it's optional in the company's website but required at this specific location. I've used uhaul before many times and never was told such a thing. Will never use this location again- poor way to treat the customer.
