Not sure when U-Haul became attached to random, unknown, dying businesses. What happened to just U-Haul lots? I want to talk to real person. Not pick up the truck on the side of some random building that looks abandoned. The app is complete and utter trash. Had to put in my information 3 times. After returning my truck on time, my order stayed active on the app for 4 more days. Despite me calling 3 times to let them know it was still active and wanted them to clear it so I could finally delete the U-Haul app and never re use it. U-Haul called me the day after dropping the truck off to make sure it was there n ready to be picked up by another customer and yet, even tho someone else was driving the truck I had used the day before, it was still showing active under my name on the app. Also when did it become so expensive? Truck was clean n drove nicely. And one lady on U-Haul customer service was very pleasant and tried to be helpful. Although she was unable to help for days. Outside of that, just bad experience and I will be finding another service to use the next time I need a moving truck.

John BWe appreciate the locations where there are humans to help... the pickup was difficult for us because it was not operated by a person. Everyone we spoke to on the phone prior to our pickup was excellent at communicating and good customer service.
Tony ZI understand that the café doesn’t control U-Haul itself, but they are an official partner. Unfortunately, the experience with the café staff was very poor. After checking in on the U-Haul app, the instructions said to go inside to get the keys. Since the café was the only “inside” location, we went there. The café staff told us the app would provide a code to unlock the keys and, if that didn’t work, to call the posted number. When we called the U-Haul representative, they told us to go back inside so they could speak with the café staff directly to release the keys. Even after the U-Haul representative explained the situation, the café staff repeatedly refused to help, instead choosing to argue and shift blame—completely unprofessional and unnecessary. When we finally got the keys, my husband was yelled at for taking the appliance dolly we had already paid for in our rental. He was even accused of “stealing” it, despite us showing the contract twice to prove it was included. The problem was not with U-Haul itself but with the café staff, who made the entire experience unnecessarily difficult and unpleasant
