The last two times I picked up I had to travel from Litchfield to Spring field. There are three U-Haul locations in Litchfield, and it would be much better if I could rent at one of those locations.

I would like to be able to pick up the equipment earlier in the morning.

The rental agent installed the Auto Transport trailer onto my RV's trailer hitch. At that time I noted that 1 bolt was missing on the coupler, but he made no comment about it, so I did not worry about it either. The only repairs he made were to replace some rubber keepers on the safety chains. About 20 minutes later, while loading my car onto the trailer at another location, I found that he had not tightened the hitch to the ball, causing the trailer to come off of the ball while loading. During my trip the 24" 4 pin light pigtail became trapped in part of the coupler and shorted the system, including the fuses on my RV. I cut, spliced and taped the wires for the trailer pigtail, and replaced my RV's fuses so I could have tail, brake and turn lights, and continued my trip. The next morning, while unloading the trailer, I noticed that the remaining bolt (the only bolt) holding the coupler to the trailer tongue was broken and partially dislodged. I am lucky to make it 200 miles without losing the trailer...and my towed car! This auto transport trailer should have been inspected by the rental agent and taken out of service long before I arrived to rent it. The rental agent should have been qualified to install the equipment he rents!
