I had reserved a smaller trailer. When the guy pulled it from off the lot with a small tow bar, I realized I needed the larger size. He was very accommodating and canceled my order and I got the 8 X 12 which is what I needed.

It would be nice if there was a parking option to leave a car when picking up and returning the truck rather than needing to find a ride or hire a taxi/uber.

My rental experience was a f*cking nightmare. The window wiper fluid dispenser was broken. By the time I realized that - I was on the highway, at night, and needing to get to my destination. Every time trucks would pass they would throw salts from the road up onto my windshield making it impossible to see, especially with glare from oncoming traffic. I had to stop and pull over to the side of the road every 20 min and splash windshield fluid onto the windshield by hand in order to see the road signs in front of me. Pulling over onto the side of the highway on NJ/NYC expressways is a harrowing experience, and best not done multiple times - except for me of course where I needed to do that on practically every on and off ramp in order to see the road and not crash into curves. Had to play a game of "follow the cars ahead" so that I could use their taillights to see what the road does ahead of me. So much for conservative, slow, efficient driving. Nearly got into accidents several times. Worst moving experience of my life.

Excellent service and equipment....thank you! Just curious....are any of your trucks equipped with snow tires? I had to drive through snowy conditions on Rt 80 and experienced some sliding.

Equipment clean. Spring on the door wasn’t working properly. It was really hard to get open and lift up and the door didn’t stay up. Also didn’t explain the 61 mile minimum and that I would pay more for more additional miles. But I might have missed that from online reservation form.

Storage area was clean; but alignment was poor, the tow haul couldn’t be turned off, exterior damage from previous renter was not repaired, coffee had been spilled in the cab and was not cleaned. In addition, circumstances beyond our control caused us to return the truck an hour late. I had notified management of our delay. We were still charged an entire extra day. I understand that this might be policy; but most companies are more understanding and lenient.

There was some confusion on the return. But overall everything was adjusted and I was satisfied with the overall professionalism of the U Haul staff. I'm sorry for the confusion and I'm happy it was resolved professionally.

When I arrived to pick up my trailer, nobody was in the store. It took about 5 minutes for someone to show up. When he did, he was not friendly at all. The trailer was parked in an alley, up against a row of pine trees. To hook up, I had to back up along the trees, which scratched the side of my vehicle. The inside of the trailer smelled badly.

Reservation was changed from preferred location at the last minute causing me additional milage charge that I shouldn't be responsible for. Spent a hour on the phone with a few different CSR's to figure it out. In the end it cost me more but the job was able to be done for which I am thankful.

The computer system was down when I went to pick up the truck at the reserved time. I was not able to pick it up until 6 hours later. There was no offer of discount since we were put behind our schedule. Would have been nice to have some accommodation. The manager at the store did have someone give me a ride to the location I was packing so I could make a pre-scheduled meeting
