The bed of truck was not clean.

It was a long, difficult process. Our credit card was ran 4 different times before the chaser realized his internet wasn't working. We ended up doing everything on our phone, and just picking up the keys from the cashier.

Gas tank needle did not appear full despite having just put in over $80 worth of gas. Uhaul tried to charge me but I opposed and he relented.

Training the staff to handle all problems with U-haul trucks is a good start, weather the staff is new or not everyone behind the counter should know, how to access records in the computer and input information into the is paramount....

This experience was probably one of the poorest I have ever experienced with U-haul. I made the original appointment right next to my house and they ended up not having a truck and sent me to a location 8 miles further than I planned ($16.00 additional dollars). When I arrived at the new location they had no idea I was coming. It took about an hour to get the truck and I had already completed the express check in online. The printer at this location was not working so I had no idea how much gas to put back in the truck when returning it ( which cost me an additional $26.25). Amazingly the printer worked when I took it back and it showed the gas for the return ( a little suspect). Upon returning the truck I learned that I had been charged double for one day of use. U-haul did credit me back for the double charge for the safe move and the double charge for the rental, but I still paid more than I should have and it has left me a bit bitter. I'm saddened to feel like during a time in my life where moving is stressful enough it was compounded by several instances where there was a "dropping of the ball". Totally not what I expected.

Employee did not understand I was returning a trailer. Did not offer a receipt. Did not offer to help un-hitch the rental. When I called the location to make sure someone was going to be there, the employee could not form complete sentences.

This is a bit difficult to rate. The people did the best they could given the short notification of the rental.(due to the original pick up location in Weirton WV having failed to provide have reserved equipment available). This location however did not have the furniture pads which they brought from another location. All in the all the entire change of location and wait cost me 2 hours of time.
