To much paperwork....on line pre registration and then again at agency. Turn in I felt like a 2 year old.Had to check turn signals, lights and brakes....was it assumed I stole bulbs. No one checked these on departure.

My complaint is not with the location or any of its employees. They were the reason I was able to keep my cool the morning of my move. We had reserved a truck for after hours pick up and had a conformation for a 26' truck. When we arrived and started the process to get our truck the app said no truck was assigned to our reservation. We called customer service and about an hour an a half later still no truck. We decided to cut our losses and come back in the morning to get the truck when the store opens at 7. On our way home we are contacted by a U-haul Customer Service "Manager" who says to go back and a truck is there for me. We confirmed twice with her that it was there before we headed back. We went back and started the process all over again only get to the final step to grab the keys and NO KEYS WERE LEFT FOR THIS TRUCK. Its now 10:30pm....3.5hrs after we were originally suppose to have our truck and we left without the truck. We went back in the morning and talked to the manager on duty and he was very friendly and helpful. My suggestion to anyone do not try to use the online app to book a reservation and pick up after hours. It is not an easy process at all and very time consuming! Go into the store and talk with someone directly and you should be good! For all the hassle we were still charged nearly the full amount....only about a $15 discount for all the trouble.

The system you have in place where the customer has to walk around the vehicle and place stickers on damage areas is idiotic. How come Uhaul doesn't have a system where damage is recorded on a computer? So if the customer doesn't see damage that was already there without your official sticker on it, they're on the hook for it? That is a nice SCAM you have going there. I will definitely take my business elsewhere and will tell everyone l know to avoid your company.

The computer was down for almost sn hour which was not the fault of the locatiion. A dozen restless customers were patiently helped by staff. Dawn smiled and kept us relaxed Bill the manager did 200% as we were upset. Most professional!!!!

The bad part of this experience was the wait to be helped this morning. It took 45 mins before I was waited on and a long line behind me . Now the part that is more important. Last night I hurried to finish and return the truck but was 5 mins late. A nice gentleman came to the door and told me they will check it in as returning last night. But then I had to leave a couple of things there until I could go home and drop off some things I had in my car so I could have room to take back my golf clubs and hi chair. Both Kevin and Sean said they would stay and watch my things until I got back so they couldn't be stolen. It took me 14 mins to get back and then they helped me load them in my car. I am 67 years old and was in retail mgmt most of my career and what they did was more than they were trained to do they went out of their way to help me and I want to make sure your president is made aware of their outstanding customer service. Then today when I came back to get my remaining balance of money I left, the computers were down and it took forever. She was able to find me but was off by $10 extra then what it should be. So I told her it was wrong and why but I was tired of waiting and was angry so I said just give me what you think but it's wrong and I just won't rent from uhaul again. Nicely she said she didn't want me to leave like that and wanted to talk to her mgmt. Anyway she found the problem the system kept bumping the rental up by $10 so she was able to give me correct change. Her name is Dawn and she showed true customer service and I would like her recognized along with Kevin and Sean. It's the president of the company I want to have this delivered to because then I know it will be handled properly and they will be recognized for their outstanding customer service. Thank you. We left this location on a 1300 mile trip. We were driving a 26 ft truck with my car on a car dolly. Some time during the first 200 miles a strap completely came off a wheel of the car and was lodged under the tire. We called U-Haul road assistance only to be told to go online and watch the video to correct the problem ourselves. This did not work so we called again and this time they sent out a service person. He was very nice and replaced the straps. Then he told us we had a bigger problem and he showed us we did not have lights on the trailer. The extension cord to hook up the lights was missing and we had to drive another 40 miles to another U Haul location to correct the problem.The next day the hood of the truck popped open several inches while I was driving on the freeway. We immediately stopped and discovered both hood latches were not secured. This tells us the person who last serviced the engine did not latch the hood down properly. And when this happened it shocked and scared the crap out of us. After these incidences with the vehicles, needless to say, I was quite paranoid about this truck. The contract given to me did not have an address to where I should return it, it had a phone number to call and stated "call this number when you arrive in Yankton." (our destination)

Did not accept Lowe’s or Home Depot boxes for use by other renters or recycling. Management gets upset when they accept competitor boxes. Sounds like management needs to think about service to their customers and accept a dead tree and not kill another tree just to sell a box. Go to the local goodwill as we donated boxes in hopes that other movers could reuse them.

Requested 2 guys got 4 for same price. Job done in 1hr 15 min instead of 2 hr. They were on time (10 min early). Very carefully will furniture. They even brought their own dollies.
