I ordered 2 dozen pads and they were not in the truck when I got back to the house, nor was there a dolly inside the truck that we could unstrap and use. The truck was really old and smelled like cigarettes. I had to wash down the inside in order to use it.

After making a reservation online with U-HAUL for a one-way move, this location gave us a contract which did not remotely resemble the online reservation we made. There was no notification that the contract we received was going to be different than the one we reserved. The physical contract we received did not correspond with any information we obtained online or by talking to customer service. In addition we were not notified that the drop off location had to be the same location as the pick-up, resulting in extra charges. We were only notified of this after keeping the U-HAUL truck for an extra day and receiving a phone call explaining there would be a wrong location drop off fee. We were prepared to pay for the extra day, but were surprised by the wrong location fee. Our other concern was that the reservation said it would include 54 free miles, but the location and contract made no mention of this and stated that there would be a $0.99/mile charge. With these concerns in mind we consulted customer service and they resolved our issue by waving the wrong location fee due to the conflict between physical and digital records. We were informed that the contract would remain the same, which satisfied our concerns as the wrong location fee was waived. We went to the nearest U-HAUL at 2253 E University Dr, Mesa, AZ 85213 and we were told that they could not take our truck due to the records not corresponding. They called Scheduling and Maintenance to resolve the issue and we were told along with the location that by dropping it off at another location that the wrong location fee would be waived completely as well as any additional costs associated with the records not matching (i.e. extra days). We were not able to confirm this with the final location, due to the fact that they were closed; however, speaking to customer service again resulted in additional confirmation that the events would remarked on our account and that the After Hours Drop-Off would work. Upon reviewing our banking statements to confirm the success of our U-HAUL drop off, we noticed that we were charged $496.80. We were charged $164.83 from U-HAUL Grand Bell in Surprise, Arizona which was the pick-up location, $167.59 and $160.38 from Marin RV Self Storage in Mesa, Arizona which was our final drop off location. Calling customer service for our final time resulted in being redirected to this review. We hope that this is resolved soon and we understand that the investigation can take time. Well, when it comes to rates, your company is as bad as the airlines. You raise the rates on the weekends because you know it will be busy. (I feel that that is taking advantage of people). About a month ago, I was quoted a price of $65.00 for a 5'x8' enclosed trailer for a one way from San Diego to Phoenix. When I arrived at the location to pick up the trailer, we filled out all of the information, and the clerk then said "Okay, that'll be $363.00" so I said "That is a far cry from what you quoted me on the phone!" and his reply was "Oh... I'm sorry, U-Haul raises their rates on the weekends. Moving ahead, About a month later, I returned to U-Haul on a Wednesday, turns out I had to pay $200.00 on a weekday. I was shocked once again. but I HAD to have the trailer right then, so I paid the outrageous amount. Not that this will even do any good, but here goes... Why don't you average your annual rentals and divide by 12, and set that as the rate for the specific item. Just a thought... As far as rentals are concerned in my future, I will more than likely take my business elsewhere, But what do you care? I'm just one customer right? I guess this is where you press "Delete" Thank you, Have a nice day, Joe

With the construction I was on the back side of the site and called the phone # and it went to some sort of off site switchboard. The woman I spoke to could not give me directions to the office, I had to drive around for 5 minutes.
