When I arrive to pick up my vehicle, the vendor was closed. I opened the back of the truck to find a man sleeping in it. He gave me a very hard time about leaving so I could take my vehicle. I then found that I had paid for two furniture dollies and neither one of them was in the vehicle or available at time of pick up. I had to wait an additional 30 minutes for the store to open and the vendor told me that he only had one furniture dolly available. I had to drive from the reserve location to another U-Haul location in order to pick up the furniture dollies I had reserve reserved originally. This delayed the start of my move by over an hour and I was charged an additional hour by the moving company. I had reserved. I feel this is extremely unacceptable, and I should not be charged the full amount for my rental based on the severity of the inconvenience and misrepresentation of items that I was told would be available.

The owner was very nice and helpful but the location was in a sketchy part of Tampa.

FRED DMy original vehicle (van) I reserved was not available due to being cleaned for smoke. The store clerk gave me a replacement 10ft truck instead. In cases like this, U-Haul could contact the customer to give them a heads up so there is no surprises when we show up to pick up the vehicle. However, the overall experience was great and the store clerk we very accommodating and explained the situation.
