Clerk knew nothing about renting and I was supposed to get an appliance cart which was desperately needed and on reservation, but he neither had one, or gave any concern to me trying to find one at another uhaul to get. Truck ran ok, but was dirty inside and had cans and empty bottles and trash in back which I pointed out to him as well. no concern given once again!

Super high mileage truck and terrible on gas. I've rented the same truck from other locations and spent half as much in gas for the same mileage. I've also haven't been able to figure out why my mileage charge was .50 more a mile for the same truck from the Tobyhanna location. All and all it costs me almost double than renting from different locations.

U-haul could improve their services by walking the customer through the instrument panel on the vehicles and would also be beneficial if the attendant would help the client with the side view mirrors on the vehicle before they pull off!

I placed the reservation the same day I returned it last week on 8-13-17 as I needed it for 2 week ends. .I was supposed to pick the truck up by 9am. on Saturday 8-19-17. when I got there, SOMEONE changed my reservation to a pick up time of 2pm because they gave the truck to someone else of Friday and they had till 2pm Saturday. I was VERY SPECIFIC that I needed the truck for two full days. the man at the store said he does not know who changed it or how they bypassed my reservation. he did call the people who had the truck and they said they would try and bring it back earlier. I got a phone call from Noah at 12;00 noon and he said the truck was returned and I could go get it. the inside was not cleaned. bobby pins and used q-tips all over the place.(no biggie, I cleaned it). I was more upset about the time loss. I did return it on sunday afternoon about 4;40 pm right after they closed. if I were able to get the truck on time, then I could have had it returned on time. I also had to make two trips to the location. very frustrating..i have used U-Haul many MANY times over the past years and this is the first time I had this experience. i would recommend U-Haul, maybe not this location. Maybe.

Ask the personnel to take a more detail look and a 2nd look at the fuel level first before they try to charge you a service fee etc. The gas station is right next to Steeles. Before they try to charge you the service fee they should recommend to fill up the gas. My gas level actually was fine, the gentlemen just didn't wait long enough for the instruments to power up correctly....

the people in this location were very nasty and said I went over the milage. and had to pay $50.00 more cause I had no paperwork,,to show it was a flat rate. you are all a rip off...I will be writing a letter to company headquarters some of these places should go and check out how nasty there are to people....

The phone rep gave incorrect information when I called to double check what was going on. She sounded like she didn't like her job. She didn't give me run down of my rental I had to ask :how many miles? what time? Etc and all answers was in correct my reservation was for 9 am she told me 12 pm so now I got the nice people in Tannersville waiting on me. She told me I had way less miles then what was given. Those phone reps have no clue

So I would like to give better scores to this location, because I have rented in the past and everything has been fine. However, this past rental was not a great experience. I had reserved a pickup truck the day before, but an hour before I was supposed to pick up the truck they called to tell me the truck would not be there in time. They told me they could "upgrade" me to a 10 foot box truck. I was renting the pickup to move a refrigerator, and was worried the box truck would not be tall enough. The employee assured me it would be fine. Sure enough, the roof was too low to get the fridge and the dolly in it. Thankfully we had three strong guys there to be able to pick up the fridge and maneuver it in to the truck. I wanted a pickup to avoid this issue. Second, since I now was in a 9 foot tall vehicle the toll was significantly more expensive than it would have been had I gotten the pickup I originally reserved. Plus, I'm sure the box truck burned through more gas, so I had an added expense there. So all in all, this past rental was not a great experience. As I mentioned though, I have rented from them in the past so I won't give below three stars, but this shouldn't happen. It caused a number of unnecessary headaches.

Trucks should be truly inspected before giving to customers. Truck should be allowed a test drive before leaving location. Locations should take accountability for renting dangerous equipment/trucks.

Shame shame shame .Low mileage dirty disgusting (GMC pickup not even 3k miles)powerful truck and motorcycle trailer reserved the day before .Guess what? No hitch receiver ,they don't rent these things ,you can buy it but can't return it,so I had to go home to bring my own .1.5h later came with my own receiver and took off.I don't recommend this location to rent pickup and trailer .U can rent pickup or trailer not both.Shame

You need a more difinitive way to show the fuel level. The customer has no way to prove the level at which they returned it. While the mileage is digital and, therefore, exact, the fuel is measured simply by a dial guide and subject to human error. It should be digital also or provide a print out of gallons in the tank.

Not sure you can improve. The customer service was excellent. Even the gentleman that hooked the trailer up for me brushed the snow off of the trailer. It might be helpful to have signs directing U-Haul customers to the U-Haul desk in the back of the store.

I was driving 90+ miles through an area I had never been before and it was snowing. Salt was on the windshield and once I turned on the wipers I couldn't see at all, I tried to use the washer fluid but it was completely dry, not a drop left. I was left traveling at night, in bad weather, without being able to see clearly. It was a terrifying trip. I was offered a disount off the 2-day rental, but pointed out that I was standing there returning the truck in under 24 hours so why was it logging as a 2-day rental? He questioned that, but never gave me and answer or the offered discount. It took me hours to get home as I was in the right lane doing 20 mph or less because I could not see through the white salt on the windshield, especially when the oncoming traffic headlights hit it. I always rent from this location as they have reliable, new vehicles, and I have never before had an issue. I was extremely disappointed with this rental and the fact that I wasn't offered anything for my trouble.
