Was scheduled to pick up uhaul after hours, but was unable to get code to unlock key box. Had multiple people waiting for me to pick up vehicles so they could help me load trucks. Was told to call a number, but no one answered. Was at the locating for almost an hour! Called customer service but they too were unable to access code. Extremely frustrating!!! When I picked up van and box truck the following morning the rep didn't even apologize for the inconvenience.

I was told the gas was full when I got the uhaul and it wasn't and all together for the uhaul i spent over $500, which sucks honestly for anyone who is just getting started.

I drove 11 miles, put in 3 gallons of gas ($8.65) before returning the truck & was advised I owe an additional $14 for gas!!! At the price U-Haul charged for gas, that truck got the WORST mileage of any vehicle i’ve ever driven! Never again!

None of the 3 charging stations worked so I had to stop several times to charge my phone. Original drop off location had no space, the Des Plaines location crew was awesome. Secure car to auto transport. It is dangerous for “rookies” to hope they got it right.

Didn’t appreciate the sales associate adding the insurance (highest priced) of his choice to my invoice, when picking up the vehicle (on less than a 10 mile total trip, mind you). Maybe assuming I am a woman, he didn’t need to ask me, or think I’d notice? Luckily I caught it before finalizing the transaction.

I used the Uhaul to pick up a large sectional, deliver it to my house and then returned the truck to the Uhaul rental store. I was charged for 52 miles however google maps showed the entire trip was 42 miles. I informed the employee but he said there was nothing he could do. I won't be renting from this location again

Cab of the truck was clean but the box itself was not. Had to sweep prior to use. By the time I paid the rental fee, mileage and “environment fee” and tax it cost me $3.41 per mile. If they’re going to charge you a 24 hour rate then they should either charge for mileage or fuel, not both!!

Should get a waiting room, Stood at the counter no one in sight for 10-15 minutes. Dereck was who checked me out. He really didn’t wanna break down the cost of anything to me and talked to me like I was stupid. He gave me the most ragged out truck they had, NO cruise control when he knew I would be on the interstate. The truck itself got the worst gas mileage I have ever experienced in my life (11 miles to the gallon on the highway). The steering on the truck was very loose (made me very uneasy traveling on i70). Felt like a tie rod end was gonna fly off the ball. Those were the cons. If you want to improve your business I would look into selling the old truck, retraining you’re employee’s to give a shit for the customer. And I would lower your rate on miles. Specially if someone is traveling that many miles (170). All and all, I spent $300 to travel with a 15’ truck for 170 miles that’s ridiculous.

I would only recommend this location because they are the only one open on Sunday. The staff was incredibly slow, the only real helpful person was the man who helped get the equipment ready, the woman working behind the desk was more interested in talking with people than trying to help customers waiting to pick up equipment. We had to wait for over an hour just to pick up the equipment we rented and there were only 2 people in front of us in line. If I had not needed the equipment, I would not have waited or rented from this location.
