Perhaps it would be helpful for UHaul employees to remember that some customers have never rented a vehicle before and don't know the "routine" so hurrying through everything and expecting that "everybody knows that" does not reflect the tenants of good customer service. It may be THEIR routine, but it is not the routine of most customers, I would guess. The customer service could also be improved if employees are friendly and appreciative of their customers' business, as opposed to an approach that makes customers feel as though they are bothering them or simply are annoying interruptions that they can't wait to leave. The customers are the only reason they have a job, and customers may have other options.

Equipment was not as clean inside as it looked - I do have black oily type of marks on some of my furniture where it rubbed against the walls and also some on the floor.

Horrible customer service on the phone, I was screwed out of my U-haul and was told by a customer service member there was “nothing he could do” was then transferred to a manager and was on hold for over an hour when I decided to hang up.... will never use u-haul again and will make sure I put a bad review on Facebook as well so multiple individuals won’t make the same mistake

I had an excellent customer experience with the Manager, Brian, who I found to be very professional. He made sure that the truck + car trailer met my needs (I had to move two cars) and coordinated with another UHaul location in town to locate the proper car trailer.

The older gentleman hooking up the trailer was frustrated with safety chains. Started swearing which was not necessary and offensive.

The woman I made the appointment with was friendly and helpful. When I called back to see if my husband could pick up the truck instead of me your representative Johnny answered the phone. I asked if it was ok to have him come in for the truck and Johnny immediately said no. I was shocked to hear that so quickly and when I asked why Johnny said that he needed a credit card in his name to pick the truck up. That information should have been the first thing he said instead of immediately saying no. This phone conversation was frustrating and made me feel like he was unwilling to help. In customer service the representative shouldn't be saying what they can't do, but what they can do for the customer. For this reason I was disappointed in the service I received.

The initial conversation went like the Hello I would like to rent a 15 foot uhaul to travel from syracuse to utica, what would you be moving sir? a living room set otaman, kitchen table and chairs a carpet, ok well I recommend a 10 foot uhaul, I said thank you but I would like a 15 foot uhaul, the email reservation was for a 15 foot and when I got there the guy tried to give me a 10 footer, again very annoying. My suggestion is to do what the customer asks.

Originally I was supposed to pick up the truck in Rome, but when I called on Wednesday evening the dispatcher said that the pick was changed to Utica. They said that a message was left (on Wednesday morning) but I had not yet received any. So I drove to Utica and picked up the truck. On Thursday I drove to my destination and then dropped off the truck. When I returned to my home Friday there was a message stating that I had to go to Utica to pick up the truck. Uhaul said that they left a message Wednesday morning however on Wednesday evening I still had not received any but when I returned on Friday there was a message. Obviously the message could not have been left Wednesday as stated. Road noise inside the cab was very loud.

They sent us off with a truck knowing the issues it was having. Going up hill, it wouldn't go over 15 MPH, it kept stalling at red lights, and we had a hard time starting. We are looking for some sort of discount/reimbursement. Thank you, Andrea 315-768-0222

We went for the pre tow inspection and the guy said everything was fine and then when we went to pick it up, that guy said that we had the wrong hitch and connector. So we had to drive home and pick up the right stuff and then drive back. What was the point of the pre tow inspection?

It ain't broke, so don't go looking to some how fix it. These guys are great. I'm looking forward to the next time I have to do business there.
