The woman that checked me in, around 1030am, was personable and friendly. She was great and explained everything thoroughly. She just was great at her job. When returning the truck a young man helped me with the return, 6pm or so. He too was friendly attentive. Two great employees.

This location, as.per the 800 #, did not set up my reservation for pick up. It put me one hour behind schedule. The roof had a leak as it rained that day which got a matress wet. The drop was also frustrating and delayed because the app wasn't working. I certainly will not use online again. I chose not applicable to this location because there is a 50/50 chance it was the online reps that may have messed up.

I picked up the moving van on a Sunday and was told I could use mobile app to check it in when I returned it if it was after 5pm. Well I returned the van at 5:30 and after 30 minutes of trying I could not get the app to work. I left the keys in the drop box and tried calling at 7:15am Monday morning (they open at 7am) and was routed to a call center (no one in the store picked up the phone). I told the lady on the phone that I couldn't check the van in and she said no problem they will do the check in automatically. Over two hours go by, I have received no email receipt showing the van had been checked. I call the store again and speak to a gentleman on the phone. Told him my information and what had happened. He states oh I figured it was already checked in, I guess I'll check it in for you. I wasn't felling confident. About 10:30 am I see I still have no email receipt showing proof the van has been checked in. It needed to be returned by 11:30am. I call the store for a 3rd time. I don't get the Utica store, but a call center. The nice rep tells me van hasn't been checked it. It's now close to 11am and van still not checked in. I now have to leave work and drive directly to the Uhaul. The general manager is there, I tell him I called this morning about getting van checked in, that it hasn't been and I had to leave work and I don't want to get charged extra. He states yes, I spoke to you I checked it in. I told him I have no email it hasn't been checked in. He looks up my account and states oh your right, I thought I took care of this, I don't know what happened and I am really sorry. Bad customer service all the way around. You don't double check to make sure the van was checked in? I had to leave work to take care of this and I am not happy!



We arrived to drop the truck off just before closing. The woman who took care of us was very considerate and friendly. She is an asset to your company.

The problem with this location is twofold. One; my initial reservation was not booked correctly and that can’t be changed, day of pick up, unless you use a different credit card. Two; the initial trailer they had for me had bald tires. It was unsuitable for long distance use. I noticed that and spent another 25 min getting switched to a different trailer.
