Needs a wash on the outside and a quick sweep on the inside

I was not provided with the right truck that I had reserved. Have to rent another truck. To top it off the rep I spoke to didn’t give me the $50 guarantee. Had to talk to another rep to get the $50. Pretty unhappy about the dishonesty of the reps for uhual. As the policy should be known to them instead of being lied to And now I have to spend more money to hire people to do the job again as the van I got wasn’t enough to complete the job.

We were set up to do the "quick" check in where you use your phone to get the door unlocked, but what they dont tell you is if your a first time customer you aren't able to do that so we wasted a ton of time trying to get that working only to be told we had to go inside anyway. VERY annoying. Also absolutely crazy fees, avoid at all costs it sucks. That being said, the man working at this location was lovely and very helpful. Just unimpressed with the fees and the stupid check in process.

Waited +45mins to pick up van. "System problems" equated to staff not knowing how to process the rental. Booked online for Davie location and received txt in the morning of pickup to go to this location, which was out of the way and outside of downtown.

The truck was not ready when I arrived. The person working at the location wasn't familiar with Uhaul rentals. It took me an hour to get the truck and I ended up missing my ferry. It'd be nice if Uhaul payed for my time lost.

I had booked a van through the mobile app as the location was closed for the day. Upon arriving, the app continued to crash. When I finally got it, I was told that the vehicle that I had booked had not been prepared for me. I then had to call u-haul where I was put on hold over and over (however, the CR was very nice) and then told that I was switched to a 10 foot truck. I DID NOT WANT A TEN FOOT TRUCK. I requested the CR to look for a van available in the area but she didn't do anything. As I logged into my app (again) to set up the pick up, it continued to crash and ask me to re-upload photos. I ended up spending significantly more than I intended to because a) fuel is not as efficient in a giant truck, b) it costs 59 cents a km and c) I DIDN'T WANT THE TRUCK IN THE FIRST PLACE. I hope to have this issue resolved and a refund.

The self serve pickup and retrieval of the truck was very efficient, but only if there were. I problems. I didn't like not having an actual person to talk to. While the van appeared very clean visually, it had a strong unpleasant smell. Since I had already checked off that it seemed clean upon visual inspection, I did not mention it on my self serve pickup or return. However, upon sweeping it out getting ready to return it, I discovered evidence In the corners that a previous renter had used it to haul soil -I'm guessing nice rich manure-y stuff. They had obvious cleaned it to the best of their ability, but the door remained. But the location could be better: The name Fraser speedway shipping does not appear anywhere at this location. This appears to be a self-serve only location which is fine, as long as it is clear to customers not to expect something different. (I tried going into the store at the address (which did say they dealt with u-haul, but was named something different than Fraser speedway shipping) and after waiting in line they told me to use the self checkout to return the truck. I had questions about my bill, but felt I had no one to ask and had spent long enough trying to figure out how to checkout and was running out of time. However, other than the confusion and returning the truck, and the smell, the equipment was new and well maintained, and a pleasure to drive.

I used self pick up service and everything was in order. There is one thing that I think it makes the service better. The van interior smelled badly (I think this is universal for all U-Haul cargo vans ??). Second, the number of vans that is available in this

It fundamentally unfair that early rentals are capped at a fixed time. I rented a 10' van and was given 4 hours. Someone else was allowed to book after me, so it was a hard limit. Yet, the person that booked after me, starting the rental in the afternoon would be free to keep the van into the evening and even overnight, since the location would close before their 4 hours are up. I was in such a rush, I barely got half of what I wanted done. I think all rentals should be by the day. Rent out anytime of the day, return by start of business the next day. This would be fair.



Why do the trucks ALWAYS stink of stale cigarettes?

Made us wait 40 Mins to process our rental, not only is it for uhaul rental, it's also a post office and a convenience store. Even after taking so long, (our rental was supposed to be from 1-4) she said we could have til 5. She never changed it in the system so I automatically got charged for a "late" fee. I am still waiting to get a confirmation that I'm getting this back.

Understaffed location. One employee is working the til for three different companies. She runs the post office, convenience store and the Uhaul rental operations. There's always a lineup and the employee is not to blame. Perfect example of a corporation trying to squeeze every penny they can out of understaffing. I feel sorry for your employees and would not reccomend this sort of operation to anybody I know.

Van was clean, bu smelled like a farm. Was ok for boxes/same day, but if it had been furniture or hot out, I wouldn't have risked it.
