I was told to drop the keys on the counter and that was it. No check on the cleanliness of the truck or the return of the blankets. I took photos because I feel unsafe that something might be charged to me despite returning the truck in good condition, clean, full of gas, with blankets, etc.

Weirdest uhaul experience. I reserved a 15' truck online. Online, I declined coverage since I have rental insurance coverage from both my car policy and my credit card. Easy enough. $27.95 + .79/mi on a sunday. It's at a convenience store, and the clerk was not much for communication. I asked if he was where I was supposed to check in for the uhaul, and in response, he asked my name. I stood in silence for maybe 5-10 minutes while he (on the other side of plexi glass), made a phone call, and eventually started scrolling on his phone. Eventually I realized he was scrolling on his phone to do something on a uhaul app or website.. He eventually handed me a key, and I got a text message directing me to a website for self-checkout. Quite strange. The truck was clean & functional. I got a text message link for the truck checkout where they prompted for photos of each side of the vehicle and the odometer. The app indicated that the fuel was at nearly full, but in reality it was just over 3/4, so I had to document that - it almost seemed as if they didn't review the state of the vehicle and just left it up to customers. I didn't see any kind of paperwork or quote for the rental at departure... Just this weird verification app/webpage. We used the truck and it worked fine. The dash computer showed 8.5mpg and I went ahead and reset that as well as the trip odometer. After my driving ~60mi hauling a piano for 1/2 that distance, the mpg was 11.1, so I put in 5.4 gallons and returned for dropoff. I handed them the key and they asked my name... After more tapping on his phone he said "you're all set" - no receipt, no information, no price... I asked if he needed anything and he said, "oh, it's in email". I pulled up email and sure enough. Just so strange that there was basically no signatures, no verification of ID or credit card, just about as plain as you could imagine. As I walked away, I noticed they charged me an extra $15 for their insurance coverage which was unfortunate since I had declined the coverage online and was never asked if I wanted it in person. Also, the paperwork showed that the fuel tank was full which was inaccurate (I refilled it to just over 3/4) I decided that the interaction was so weird that I really didn't want to go in and try to get a refund for that charge. So, I'd go back again, and I'd probably tell a friend they could go too, but I'd give a warning about the lackluster customer service and potential overcharge.
Cody BThe location is in a slum neighborhood. It’s a nasty convenience store and the guys behind the counter look sketchy and English is tough for them. They had no idea what they were doing. Asked me if I had already paid for the truck rental! It is a nearly new truck but it isn’t safe at this drop of location run by Tweedle Dum and TweedlevDumber
