Well I set it up on line. The web informed me that I would pick up the truck at Winona Avenue site. But it was actually at the Old US 30 site on the other end town. That would have been good to know ahead of time. Thanks.

I was originally scheduled to pick up my rental at 8 am. I had reserved it with my account, but listed my fiance as the driver. The online reservation was accepted with all of his info. Upon arrival I had to use self check out for the truck as the location was closed for the holiday. After spending 35 minutes trying to complete the steps to the app in sub zero weather, a message popped up saying that my rental was now denied due to information not matching the account. This is from the live rep with the screen name Tamara who confirms your info, I began to ask a question and received an auto message that gave me a phone number to call an hour from then and within seconds the ability to communicate was cut off. I did not have another hour to wait therfore I cancelled my reservation and re reserved it with me as the driver, even though I felt very uncomfortable driving the vehicle. After another 30 minutes of the estimated "10 minute" self check out I'm back at the same step with another live rep, who keeps asking for alternate contacts. So I give her the information, I then receive a message that, the alternate contact number went to voicemail and I had to give another. This rep was calling my alternate contacts early in the morning, and had not even attempted to contact my personal phone. Once an alternate was reached, my rental was approved. This is now 1 hour and 15 minutes from when I initially began this process from the first reservation, all the while sitting in my vehicle with it running because the outside temp was -4. I get into the rental and attempt to turn the key and of course it wont turn. I spent 5 minutes moving the steering wheel back and forth until it was in just the right position to disengage the ignition lock (and continued to repeat this process each time I had to start it all day). After it warms up I drive to my location and open up the back to discover a garage door holder and a pallet in the back, that I did not request. I removed the items to load my own items, then returned them with the rental. At return time I again had to go through the self service system. At the end it popped up asking how I wanted to pay. This same message had popped up at picked up as well and I had already paid for the rental, the miles that I did use and 30 additional miles, because I had over estimated. I quickly checked my bank account and the money had already been processed from the pick up. No where did it give me an option to state that I had already paid. I had to submit a dispute for the charges just to finish the return process. This being said, this auto check out process is a joke. And the glitches are costing people a ton of time, in my case nearly a quarter tank of gas just to stay warm while I battled the app, and money as you almost succussfully tried to double charge me. Had I not looked at my account, I would have paid the total a second time. I will never use this company again and will be submitting this review to all

the floor of the cargo box was dirty. had to sweep it out before I loaded boxes. also the headlight controls knob was loose, I had to adjust it with both hands in order to use it.

The ignition key when fully inserted would not turn. After many times trying to start the truck I found that pulling the key out approximately 1/4" allowed me to turn the key. Everything else was fine.

The truck was very dirty when we received it. We took pictures of it already to be safe. We're charged $55 for it and when we spoke to the representative he is arguing with us. I have used U-haul before and was a pleasant experience but this location is a disaster. I will never recommend this location to anyone . Thank you for this amazing service . I know I don't have to go to you guys anymore .

I did not know from one day to the next what size truck I was actually going to get the morning that I arrived. When you are guaranteed a truck, you should get that size truck. I did, in the end, but for several days I thought we were getting one size smaller.

Probably the only thing I can think of is to ask the customer when they request a moving van (not a trailer) is if they need one with a loading ramp. I did not know that the 10 foot ones did not have one. It worked out OK - but I had assumed. I don't rent moving vans that often.

worse ever will never use them again,personnel there was very rude. I dropped it off after hrs. .came back on Monday I went in ask if every thing was good and he received it . his answer was well the cops didn't come for you did they . he never even new that I dropped it off I think in real!

very rude, the lady there was very rude. I was to pick up the trailer the next day. I called the day be fore and she said that I wasn't to pick it up till tomorrow I said I know but want to pick it up to day . her comment was well if you want it to day its a big problem and went on and on .then I talked to a man he said no problem come and get it any time so went there and was treated like shit. I will NOT ever go back there again. I don't know why I was treated like shit and not like a costumer. I just rented the trailer 5 days before and need to rent it again. I asked for the same trailer I brought down and it was there the man said he did not know what trailer it was I said that one but he gave me a nother one.in 10 days I paid u haul 700.00 dollars at the best treat me like a person. poor company will not use them again. I informed the attendant that I would be picking up after hours. She then informed me I would have to hook up and set up the trailer to my truck by myself. Which I was more than fine with. What she did not inform me of, was that I would have to disconnect the trailer I rented, from another U-Hual vehicle on the lot. Mind you, it was pouring rain. I did take pictures of the trailer hooked up to the vehicle in the lot right when I realize that it matched the license plate on my paperwork that I had rented. I will be taking this to the BBB. Inspect equipment properly. Tail lights, headlights and interior lights/radio kept going out. Left facility and everything was running properly, 50 miles into trip they went out.

This comment is directed to UHaul and not this location. I required this truck for less than 24 hours but was forced to pay a rental fee that covered 2 days. This is not adjustable at any level and because of this policy, Although I typically rent equipment from UHaul, if a short term requirement (24 hours or less) is needed in the future, UHaul will be a last resort.
