The “ gentleman” who checked me in was rude . I’m hearing impaired and had forgotten to wear my hearing aids the day I picked up the U-Haul . I usually can read lips if I’m directly looking at the person . Since he was behind the plastic protective shield I wasn’t able to do so . He could of cared less that I was having difficulty hearing him and he was from Another country ( I am not prejudiced at all) it made the situation much worse . He wasn’t going to “serve” me so I had to get 3 other people who were in The store to translate what he was saying . Anyone who is in the customer service business should know that being hearing impaired is a disability . I left there iin tears and was so embarrassed . He also didn’t inform me that I had to fill up the gas tank before returning it . The owner of the gas station was outside when I was parking the van and asked me ( after I parked) ) if I had filled the truck up with gas ? he was very nice ) and I told him I didn’t know I was suppose to so I did. I told him my experience about checking in for the rental and he was apologetic and said he would speak to the rude “man” about it . I would never use this station for anything even gas and I live only a block away . There was a problem with the stearing wheel , it often locked up so I was unable to start the vehicle . I had a gentleman who lived at the complex where I was moving in help me 2 different times . There were homeless people in the truck I rented. It smelled of urine and was so filthy
Jesse OThe location is convenient. And the return process was fairly simple. However, the truck was not clean (tobacco ashes and leaves in the cup holder). And the attendant who checked me in was very unprofessional.
MAHOGANY JThe attendant was very nice. He pulled the vehicle out since it was in a tight space. The vehicle could have been cleaner; the interior ceiling was spattered with dirt. It made a very funny noise while driving it, but I made it to my destination and back so maintenance seems fine. It The was barely 1/2 full when I picked it up and I wasn't aware that I needed to fill it back up. I put $60 worth of gas and was charged an additional $25 which is ridiculous! I drove the vehicle on a Tuesday and didn't receive my receipt until Friday which I don't think is reasonable.
STEFANIE SI marked that the equipment was clean and well maintained. That might not exactly be true. The truck drove rough. Maybe issues with shifting gears. I would not recommend this location because I requested blankets that were not available. I was told that sometimes they aren't available because people don't return them. I needed blankets because I was moving furniture. Don't make them an option when reserving a truck online if the location will not have them
