1. The truck that I used seemed to have a broken shock? 2. I had to take my cats to a vet appointment for their rabies shots. Because of this I showed up late to pick up my rental. The “Manager” gave me a “good talking to” about being late and let me know that if it was up to him I would not be getting the vehicle. The guy sounded like a complete nut case. 3. When I returned the truck sunday evening I took a moment to make sure the doors were locked and the gate on the back of the truck was closed. I then dropped the keys off. During this time period (5 minutes at most) the “Manager” locked the gate on me. I knocked on the door but he refused to answer. It was zero outside with a ten mile an hour wind blowing. Eventually, I had to climb through the gate to escape. Otherwise, I would have died of hypothermia. Suppose I had been a woman with a young child? An elderly person? Someone with limited mobility? Your company would be facing a wrongful death law suit right now.

Truck was very high mileage 133K+ and dirty. Truck seemed to struggle going up hills and getting up to speed even when empty and the steering was absolutely horrendous with a huge amount of play that made it easy to oversteer and difficult to keep in the lane. Windshield had not been cleaned and was covered with a film and water spots from sitting. The back wall of the cab looked like someone vomited all over it though I suspect someone splashed coffee or some other drink all over it. Floor mats were filled with gravel and sand. Clearly either no one looked at the truck before they rented it or they simply did not care. I have photos if anyone cares to see them. By FAR the worst uhaul experience I have ever had after well over two dozen over my adult years, and at this rate I’ll go back to enterprise or Penske. Extra drive and cost would be well worth it. It’s hard to imagine that a 4 hour/31 mile rental could be that horrible! The gentleman at the rental counter was polite and helpful so that was about the only upside of the experience. Crazy that professionalism is noteworthy these days. If only the truck could have met the bare minimum standards.

It literally only took 2 minutes to get an extension on my rental. I am extremely happy with the service provided and would recommend this to everyone. Thank you.
