We were very dissatisfied with the U-haul. It was filthy! It had 2 bald tires on the right rear. The right front tire was worn clear through the tread on the inside. About 50 miles from our destination the right tire on the tow dolly got a bubble in the tread and the tread started coming off by the time we arrived. They knew we were traveling about 1600 miles and to give us a vehicle like this is beyond imagination. It was brought to our local dealer from another location and I would love to know who authorized this vehicle for such a trip. I honestly was concerned for my safety as I traveled. I hope no one ever has to go through an experience like this!! We feel some kind of compensation would be a good gesture on the part of U-haul.

When we arrived the employee didn’t know where the truck was. It was parked in a dangerous location in the grass. I had to back it up and not hit an electrical line and drive it over the curb to get onto the street. When we arrived at our destination with the truck we opened up the back to discover that it wasn’t cleaned out from the previous renter. Lots of Sprint pamphlets, soda bottles, battering and random objects were still inside. In the front was a sweatshirt and other items. Very disappointed that UHaul rents vehicles without cleaning them.

The first problem was they sent an email the day before I needed the truck and it was the wrong pickup location. After many phone calls I finally reached a uhaul rep that changed the location and fixed that issue. I returned the truck and paid cash. The person at the location ran my card and my card was charged even after I paid cash. When I called the location they said he didn't run the card, uhaul must have made the mistake. I called uhaul and spoke with Leslie who was very professional unlike the pick up location and she said she would credit the card. The entire experience with the pick up location was a nightmare and will never use uhaul or recommend uhaul to any friend or foe. The actual U haul reps were all very courteous and professional.

Twice now I have tried to rent a towable trailer from this location and twice they have failed to have the reserved equipment available at the promised time. On the day of the reservation they were unaware of availability even within 1hr of my pick up time. Their only "assistance" with resolving the situation was to provide me with an 800 number to call...... I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS LOCATION EVER AGAIN. AND.... AM CONSIDERING THE SAME FOR U-HAUL. Please feel free to contact me directly 304-670-5303

There was obvioiusly no inspection done by the dealer. One of the tires blew out on the trailer once it was loaded. Upon inspection the cords were showing through on the tire treads. Fortunately the blew out happened before getting on the interstate. I also noticed that the other tire looks extremely worn, there is literally no tread showing on it as well.

THIS WAS NOT THE LOCATION I REQUESTED FOR PICK UP. IT WAS 20 PLUS MILES FURTHER AWAY. THE TRUCKS SKIRTING WAS DAMAGED WHEN I PICKED IT UP NOT AN ISSUE TOOK PICTIRES. AN APPLIANCE DOLLY WAS LEFT IN THE BACK AND HAD TO HAUL IT AROUND AND HAD NO ROOM FOR IT, HASSLE!

When my fiancé went to the Weirton location to pick up the Truck and tow dolly, the man working at this location refused to provide us with the appliance dolly we had reserved. The mans excuse was because he had already printed the paperwork and they were closing, he did not want to go back into the computer system. When my fiancé informed him that we reserved the appliance dolly and also wanted insurance on the tow dolly. The man refused to provide us with the equipment or insurance because he said he did not have the time to change the reservation or paperwork and that we would need to contact Uhaul the following day. The only problem was that we were supposed to leave that night to get on the road. Because we could not move our home without an appliance dolly or help, we had to change our hotel reservations, causing us to lose some money, and put us an entire day behind on travel. When I contacted Uhaul to try and get a dolly that day, they did confirm we did reserve an appliance dolly, but since the surrounding locations were closed, we would have to contact them back the next day. We ended up not contacting them back to get one and went out and bought our own appliance dolly and then hired movers to get things done quicker. Again spending more money for something that was not in our expenses or plans. The tow dolly we first rented was not up to maintenance and only an hour into our 15 hour trip the tire on the tow dolly ripped open from the inside. Which almost caused our actual Uhaul truck to flip over and also dented my car where the tow dolly blew. Of course, because the gentleman where we rented the tow dolly refused to change the paperwork, in which WE WERE WANTING TO GET TOW DOLLY INSURANCE, the damages to my car will most likely be at my own expense. To top everything off, I fell asleep sitting in the Uhaul cab while my fiancé drove. I had socks and slippers on, but the floor of the Uhaul cab got sooo HOT, it melted $100 worth of candy we were traveling with. The worst part of the floor getting so HOT, was that while was sleeping, the floor melted my slipper and caused me to have, the size of a golf ball, BLISTER on the heel of my foot, which then I had to get medical attention to check. When we dropped the Uhaul off in FL the gentleman that was so helpful with us returning it, looked underneath the cab and said the exhaust pipe that went under the floor was soo rusted with holes the exhaust fumes and heat were coming into the cab, which caused the floor to get so hot. Let just say, I don't know if I will ever want to rent another Uhaul again after this nightmare and I use to be someone that always looked to and relied on Uhaul!!
