The experience was really excellent. The only issues were that there were MULTIPLE dings and scratches on the vehicle ahead-of-time, and a few things left over from the previous users. Also, I had a TERRIBLE experience with the web service and phone customer service before the current rental. This current staff was excellent and professional.

The staff at this location were rude. When I asked the guy at the front desk to go over pricing, he was condescending (he said "it's pretty self explanatory") and not helpful. The other staff member was yelling at me to move my car, which I was in the process of doing (I was parked in 30 minute customer parking and had only been there for 10 minutes). He continued to yell at me even as I was getting into my car to move it. This location was busy but it is no excuse for the rudeness of the staff. I was just trying to pick up my truck, understand the bill and get out of there as fast as possible.

Personnel had to be persuaded to accept the return. The process took two hours, not the 20 minutes we were expecting.

You can improve for the next customer by actually having customer service. UHaul is the worst run business I have ever seen. Look elsewhere when renting a truck, especially to move. These people couldn't care less about you. Good luck if you are going to Boston. The people I dealt with at the regional office are the worst example of representing a company I have ever seen.

I brought back the gas full and they STILL charged me for gas. I specifically made sure to make sure the gas was good before I left. If you rent from them make surer to take a time stamp (picture) so you don't get extra charges like me. SMDH

My daughter is a student at Northeastern University. Literally moved her 2 blocks down the road and it cost her nearly $500 for a 10' moving truck which we used overnight (due to a 1 day gap in her leases) for a total of 32 hours. Was not allowed to pick up and drop off at the same Boston location, which would have been really convenient and probably less costly. Was told by personnel that, "we are not a storage unit, ma'am" when I asked for an overnight rental. Feel like we got raped and completely taken advantage of because that particular rental day is a busy day in Boston. Our initial reservation was botched and a re-do of our reservation left us being doubly booked....a huge headache. Would never use U-Haul again. Would look into using your competitors such as Penske, Ryder, Enterprise, etc.

Uhaul needs to make sure that the people scheduling the appointments for hitch installations are aware of the actual schedule at this particular location. Mr. Cardona bent over backwards to accommodate my needs when the scheduling people made an error. He also was very accommodating, when I inadvertently got the wrong size trailer. When I realized that the trailer that was too small for the item I needed to put on it, I returned to the U-Haul on Providence Highway in West Rocbury and despite the fact that it was their busy season, Mr. Cardona was more than accommodating in fact he was very gracious as he assisted me in changing to a bigger trailer. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this location. They give personal attention, and genuinely try to resolve any issues you have.

Be prepared. 1) They tried to give me another vehicle with a lame excuse (keys locked in vehicle that I reserved. Be honest and ask 1st next time. 2) Day rate mileage NOT explained. Turned in vehicle with 46 miles (4 miles less than the minimum 50 that was NOT explained) and got charged more. When I asked to take the vehicle back so I could run up the mileage, the manager stated it was already charged. If you can get past these examples, the place is functional - lots of vehicles and quick!

The customer service was abysmal. The staff was unhelpful. They didn't even tell me which truck was mine. I had to match the key to the truck by myself. I returned my truck at night, and they called at 7 am asking where the truck was rather than simply looking in their own parking lot. They also claimed to not have my key which I had dropped in the key drop off slot.

No suggestions for improvement. I just wanted to recognize your employee (I think her name was Kara) for her assistance over the phone. She helped us extend our rental hours easily and quickly. I am unsure of the gentleman's name that rang us through initially, but he was very helpful and courteous. I would hope that the two of them will get some recognition for the excellent job that they've done.

This Uhaul location was absolutely fine. My only issue was I had no idea there was a $10 tax imposed because it was too close to Boston? I never experienced this tax at the Natick MA Uhaul

On my day of pick up it was quite busy but Harry Ambrose worked quickly utilizing two terminals to keep things moving. He maintained a calm and friendly demeanor throughout. Well done. When I returned the trailer, Luis Cardona greeted me quickly and with friendly greeting. I thank Luis for quickly resolving a billing discrepancy on my behalf. Will definitely utilize this location again.

Online booking and pick-up process was very easy and van was great - new and very clean. Everything went well until we returned it However, when we returned van, we were charged $355 instead of the $192 which was in the quote and also in the paperwork we were given when we picked up the van. The person at the location said he could do nothing about it and we would need to call next day. We called next day and were told it would be better to speak to customer service, as "the computer system af that office was down". We spent 10 minutes on hold, then 30 minutes talking to customer service and on hold again, only to be told they could not approve any changes or refund the difference and that it would need to be investigated, with a response time of 1-3 days. Here's what you can do better - make sure the amount we are charged matches the quote we are given - make sure people at the return location have ability to do that - enable customer service people to fix things quickly on the first call. There seems to be no dispute that we were overcharged and it shouldn't take all this time to get it fixed Only posting this because the customer service person also asked us specifically to complete the review, which would help facilitate a response, so that's what we're doing.
