We were told to arrive at 9 AM to pick up our U-Haul and that a member of the staff at the storage unit facility would be there to let us in and complete our rental. No one was there. No one could find someone to even come there and complete our rental so we could get our day started. We had to call U-Haul and it took almost an hour just to get keys. We had to take a truck that was not the specific one rented to us because the U-Haul staff (who were all lovely) had walk us through how to get the keys over the phone and those were the only ones we could find. I felt like I was on a game show. When we returned later that afternoon, there was still no staff present to allow us through the gate and to complete our return. We had to call yet again to ask questions to ensure we had done it correct correctly. This was a horrible experience. Our money should be refunded.

Everything went great except for getting the key out of the lock box. The lady working there was super helpful and already had a screwdriver and paperclip ready, as this is a very common issue. The keychain attached to the truck key barely fits in the box, making it pretty difficult to even get in the box when I just returned it. But the worst part was getting it out. I think uhual needs to upgrade the size of those lock boxes or attach a smaller keychain to the key so this isn’t a reoccurring issue for customers. Besides that, everything else was great!

Jasmine SDrop off after hours was confusing. We weren’t given a gate code to get in to park the truck. Then we were told there was drop box but we couldn’t find it anywhere on the property. We ended up being on the phone with multiple people from UHaul and it took us an hour to complete drop off.
