We had originally ordered the U-Haul at the BoxDrop Standish, Michigan location and called to pick it up only for them to tell us that we had to go to Prescott to pick it up which was way out of our way. However, the Prescott staff was outstanding, caring and compassionate about the trouble we had in securing the U-Haul and the pricing issues we experienced. If we ever have to rent another U-Haul, which we know we will, without a doubt we will go the extra distance to rent one from the kind people at the Prescott grocery store U-Haul store. We have never had such wonderful service. I recall the lady helping us was Cheyenne. She made up for all of the problems we experienced at the Standish location. Thank you U-Haul Prescott, Michigan store. You are outstanding and I give you a millions stars for going out of your way to help us!

How U-Haul Reviews WorkEverything went great
Melissa CI had reserved a larger trailer but upon arrival found that unit was not fit for rental. The ladies at the store jumped thru a few hoops to modify my reservation and ended up with a 5x8. Thankfully it was sufficient for the task.
Grant AI needed a trailer for a destination 8 hours away. I rented a 5x8 enclosed trailer that was vibrating badly on the road. I took it to the next nearest u-haul rental site and was told that I needed to call roadside assistance. While talking to 2 different agents, the call was dropped and I was not called back by either agent. It took more than 30 minutes to inform me that someone had been dispatched with a replacement tire and that it would be another 90 minutes until their arrival. The whole time that I waited (3 hours or more), I was looking at 3 or 4 "local only" trailers with the same size tires on them. I feel that a local mechanic should have been dispatched to my site and swapped tires off of one of the local trailers instead of calling someone over an hour away. I don't think the customer service was handled well at all. The person at the rental site (Tammy) was very friendly and very helpful, but I feel equipment inspections should be more thorough.
