When I reserved the vehicle we were quoted $10 for the insurance, and when I went in the guy said it was $14.95. Then the when I made the reservation the quote said 59cents a mile but at the pick up it was 79 cents a mile. The quotes and the actual price needs to be more accurate.

I had no interaction with the personnel. I arrived approximately 10-15 minutes after they opened but couldn't find anyone to speak with. Not necessarily a negative experience.

kept driving around the block looking for the office then I finally noticed the 6 inch U-haul sign in the window, kinda hard to see from the road when the office is blocked in..the truck was way out there by it self and did not see anything that said U-haul this way or where to go.

Truck had check engine light on and during the trip the low tire light came on but went off again after driving 50 miles or so. No Issues otherwise. Truck was Clean and otherwise no problems

It was a nice new truck. Nice ride.At the time of pick up I was only offered the basic $60.00 level of coverage. NO other levels were explained. Upon returning the vehicle at the drop-off site late in the evening I accidentally backed into another trailer (not owned by U-Haul), only to find out that I am ultimately responsible for damages !! I would have certainly added the additional liability if I had only known about it. I am very upset!!! This practice of not fully disclosing options is not good. No one means for accidents to happen, but that extra piece of mind would have helped me out. I am very dissappointed.

Did online check in and it wasn't an in and out experience it took the guy a half hour to redo everything I had done online. Second when I reserved it I could not easily use the card that I entered to pay for the rental. Just a bad experience I am wondering how U Haul is still in business if they can't keep up with the online check in and easy rental like it said it would be online. The local store called because the incompetent worker tried to run my card a dozen times when my card was charged for the rental when I picked up my rental. Just a bad overall experience renting from you.

I was treated less than professionally. I filled out the on-line information to rent a trailer. It said I would be contacted but never was and had to call. I requested a trailer for 0700 for 24 hrs to be picked up in Norwalk. The customer service rep I talked to informed me that I would have to drive 20 miles to Willard to pick it up and also that I could pick it up until 0800. So I asked if I could get it the night before since I was being held up by 2 hours but then I would need an extra 2 hours. I was told "not my problem." I also filled out the Express Check-In info on-line but had to repeat it all at check-in. I will not be recommending U-Haul to my friends based on this experience.

This is NOT the location I picked to pick up the moving van. I originally picked a location on my path of travel. The location U-Haul moved me to at the last minute was 24 miles out of my way. The van was covered with snow and there was no way to clean it off. I had to scrape the snow off with my hands, a CD case and a borrowed broom. Finally, there was something wrong with the steering on the van. When I would go over a slippery spot the van would veer toward the ditch. The steering was loose.


I was originally quoted $101 as an estimate. When we returned the truck and equipment the total was $76. The original estimate was charged to my card, if I had known this was how uhaul chose to do business I would have looked else where for services. I believe it is shady and unprofessional, if I am not able to recoup our money from your vendor I will be contacting the BBB. When given the estimate and picking up the truck we were told our card would not be charge until returning the truck and equipment, it was charged as soon as he got our card.

Manager was very friendly, and took time to explain contract, and equipment. Visual safety & damage inspection performed. Felt comfortable with truck provided, which was clean and in great condition.

Everything was just fine no problems


The manager -- who was the ONLY ONE who knew how to work U-HAUL's PC Program; was NOT THERE when I got there. I had to ask the young lady that WAS THERE to call him on the phone to ask him HOW TO PROCESS MY RESERVATION!!!!! She was really totally lost, I ended up helping her through the program, with him on the phone. The manager MADE NO EFFORT TO RETURN TO THE STORE. I wanted to upgrade to a larger truck, OF COURSE, she didn't know how to do that either. When she tried to call the manager for the information to do that; HE WOULDN'T ANSWER HIS CELL PHONE!!!! As I was leaving; I informed the young lady that I would appreciate it if she would inform the manager that "I was not unhappy with her personally, it was not her fault, but I was unhappy with the situation". When I returned the truck, I entered the establishment; looking around for some help. . . . there was a man standing by the front door........playing with a stero/cd player, trying to get it to work. He totally ignored me. There was a woman wandering around the store, I asked her if there was a manager in the store... She pointed at the man that ignored me... and told me; "he is the manager". He finally turned away from the stero....and wandered around the sales counter. I HAD TO INFORM HIM WHAT I WISHED TO DO!! HE DIDN'T EVEN ASK ME IF HE COULD HELP ME!!!!!! NOR DID HE APOLOGIZE FOR THE EARLIER FIASCO, NOR FOR NOT ANSWERING THE PHONE WHEN I WANTED TO UPGRADE !!!! MISSED INCOME FOR YOUR CORPORATION. TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY; THEY DIDN'T EVEN HAVE PRINTER INK CARTRIGES. . . .SO THEY COULDN'T PRINT OUT ANY RECEIPTS OR ANYTHING FOR ME!!!!!!! (As the man later said to me; that's no BIGGIE!!!!) funny, I THOUGHT IT WAS!! BOTTOM LINE...MY PERSONAL OPINION IS THAT YOU SHOULD HAVE NEVER OPENED THIS OFFICE!!!! I have used your firm quite frequently, all the way back to the early 1970's..... AND HAD NEVER BEEN SO DISAPPOINTED AND EXASPERATED IN MY LIFE!!!! YOU NEED TO CLOSE THIS BRANCH...AND SAVE YOUR REPUTATION...ASAP!!!!!!!
