We were sent to this location because there was a problem with pick up at the first location. We were told they would be open when we arrived. The location was not open and we had no way to retrieve a vehicle key. The owner drove up and stated that they do 24/7 now so she does not have to deal with customers and was very rude. I explained that we were sent there and updated to a 20ft one way. She stated that they only do local so I was out of luck. They she advised she had a truck that they wanted back in Raleigh so she would give me that one and i could just drop it anyplace in Raleigh. She said she did not have her computer because I would need to do a contract with them even though i already had one online completed. But that she would be nice and do one on her phone and that i was lucky she was there. The truck she gave me was a 15ft, had trash in the cab and the back. The entire rental was a problem even with the return location that was 10 miles from my ending location that did not have a drop box for the key and i had to give it to the store clerk.

MARK MHi. I reserved a trailer on 10/13/24 for pickup at Storemore Self Storage on 10/18/24 at 5:00 pm and your system said a trailer was available. I received a confirmation email on 10/13/24 that said the same info as the internet reservation 11753329. Later in the day on 10/13/24 I received an email mail moving the pick up location to Seltzers Garden Center on 10/18/24 at 5:00. I was okay with that since it was even closer to my house. On 10/18/24 (the day of pickup) at 1:33 PM I received a call from Katrina at regional stating the Seltzer location was closing at 3:00 PM due to a family emergency and the next closest location was 30 miles away. I immediately left work in Greenville (45 miles from my home in Wilson) and rushed home to get to Seltzers before 3:00. I arrived at 2:50 only to find out the lady that does the U-Haul rentals leaves everyday at 2:00 and there was no family emergency. Her father owns the location and helped us. He was very nice. I don’t know how you can run a business like that. I reserved the trailer 5+ days in advance, U-Haul changed the location to a place that is closed at the time of my pickup and notifies me 3 1/2 hours before I am supped to pick it up and tells me I have 1 1/2 to get it or drive 30 more miles. Then I was lied to about the reason and told the location had to close early today due to a family emergency. The owner said no one is there for U-Haul rentals after 2:00 and uhaul lied to me. I think I deserve an apology, a refund, and some type of response on why this happened. There is clearly some root cause and corrective action that needs to take place to fix your process. I picked the initial pick up location because they had the trailer and much longer work hours. I did not do anything wrong, but was inconvenienced and lied to.
