Due to several complicating issues (on our end) we had a difficult renting situation. Jody did a great job of taking care of us, and went above and beyond in making sure things went as smoothly as possible.
We had to drive an hour from South Burlington to pick up the U-Haul in Wolcott. So, we had to drive an hour out and an hour back. When we picked up the truck the gas tank was only 3/4 full, and when we returned the truck with a full tank we were told we wouldn't be compensated for the gas we essentially bought the next customer for free.
I was charged for an extra day when it was dropped off a day early WTF
The total billing seems correct but: - I was told the store opened at 7 am, however when I arrived at 7:15 it was closed. I called U-haul and received a $50 credit. I then drove by the store again at around 8 and it was still closed. I returned at 9 and it was open. - When I told him my name he wrote all my personal information (name, address, credit card # w/exp date) on a piece of paper and handed me the keys. - I did not sign a contract at the point I drove the truck away from the rental location, nor did I provide any verification on the condition of the vehicle. - I drove the truck and performed my move and when I returned the truck he took the keys and that was it. I still did not sign a contract. I've only rented a few times before so am unsure of the actual process - but, I thought I got a contract before I take the truck (think it's referenced re:checking odometer). In actuality, my experience with them wasn't that bad because it was pretty laid back, but I did not like the writing down of my personal information on a single piece of paper or the lack of a signed contract at any point of the process.

The tires were very very very very bad and the truck had poor functional capabilities and I will not rent one again no matter what I'll rent a farmer's truck first.
