I was moved from a pick up location in Ann Arbor to one in Ypsilanti. I did get a credit in my miles used but dealing with the traffic was a pain.

My only challenge was upon vehicle return. When I took the truck, I was asked to return it at or above 3/4 on the gas gauge. I drove the truck a total of 7.5 miles and added over a gallon of gas before returning it. The gas gauge was higher upon return than departure, but the attendant wanted to charge me to fill the tank! This took several minutes to resolve with multiple staff. Adding to this, I had a 24hr rental but only used the truck for about 6 hours, returning it as early as possible. All in all this was still a great value for me. Just a struggle on the gasoline issue.

Everyone I spoke to at this location was friendly and very helpful. My truck was ready and waiting when I arrived Saturday morning, which was awesome. The only negative (which isn't really a reflection of the staff) is that the place seemed understaffed. When I first walked in to reserve the truck there was no one in the office and no door bell to let the staff know a customer had arrived. Likewise there was no call button near the desk. I waited in there for about five minutes before I ventured towards the back where the trucks are to find someone.

I like being able to provide my information in advance online in order to shorten my time at the counter. I like that I was offered a 15 foot truck at same price as my preferred 10 foot truck when that smaller truck wasn't available. I liked the follow-up calls from regional/corporate office, but it's off-putting that I can't directly contact the local office during the move.

I was happy with my experience. Although there need to be more workers so people can be served. Took a while to get served. The people at registers where also. Pulling up the trucks. Need more workers to keep up with the customer flow.

I called veryate in the day and said I was in a rough situation (needed a truck that same night) and needed it asap. Within 10 minutes of calling I was notified that one was available and close by. Thank you so much to the general manager and Washtenaw and the gentleman I spoke to on the phone to schedule. Made my move possible and took a lot of stress off my shoulders.

Be more professional. Don't rent out broken equipment (failed turn signals and bald, dry rotted tire) Learn how to help people tow instead of giving poor advice. You said my car could tow the trailer I rented and now I have no car because my trans and engine got shot. So thanks for the idiotic advice and no help when I got stuck moving cross country with pets. You really should teach your employees about proper towing vehicles and stop trying to just make money. NEVER DOING BUSINESS WITH UHaul.

Pricing seems to be higher than expected. Almost $150 for under 100 miles round trip. Will shop rates when I move again in 3 months.

The service was pretty lousy, the person I talked to seemed very uncaring about his work. The truck I rented did not have a full tank of gas (I drove 16 miles but used 5 gallons?) When I talked to the guy about it, he told me there was nothing that could be done about it. Considering this place is an actual Uhaul location and not just a dealer this is pretty sad.

We reserved the truck for two days. On the second day we finished early and decided to return the truck. They could have charged us for use because it was a couple hours past the return time. They didnt bat an eye, charged us for one day use, took the payment from our deposit and sent us on our way. Very friendly. Very affordable. Thanks U haul.

The truck I reserved was double-booked. I was arranged to a far location for picking-up. But when I went there, the new location also didn't have the truck I needed. In total, the service of the new location was just average. But the entire experience was not so good.

I topped off the tank and though the gauge originally had the needle on F. After refilling it fell below the F, meaning it was very full. It took 5.5 gallons though I drove only 22 miles. One rep would not give me an adjustment although I had the gas receipt. I had to talk to another rep who made adjustment of $4. I don't mean for this to be quibbling, but a more accurate measure of what the customer's actual petrol use is, perhaps a digital gauge.

The customer service overall at this location is horrible. They don't check their work. They take their time and still put wrong information into the systems. My fiancée's name is spelled Eriel. They spelled it as Ariel even though she gave them her ID. When it came time to pay the deposit I stepped forward to use my card and they ran my debit card as credit without telling me no option for debit. They ran my card as credit and gave no receipt for me to sign to fully authorize what would be taken out of my account. The service rep told us that the deposit would be 82.31 and even gave me a contract document saying that I would only be charged 82.31, yet somehow 85.28 was withdrawn from the card. This bothers me even more because not only did I give my authorization for the charge of 82.31, I definitely didn't authorize the charge in the amount of 85.28. The center is now telling me an excuse that their computers were down yesterday and that they could only charge it as credit, even though yesterday they mentioned nothing of that. They also mentioned that it was a rough day so they could have made mistakes and in my opinion I feel that I shouldn't have to suffer because of them making mistakes. Now they refuse to check in the rental until the full amount of $123 is paid, not counting the deposit of 85.28(which is the wrong amount they should be holding anyway) to make it where I'm overall at this time paying more then $200 for a rental that I initially ordered a smaller size for. I didn't even get to use the credit that was said for me to have by the Michigan center that had to switch me to the horrible washtenaw center in the first place. They complained to us about the gas being one notch low even though that location is farther then the location that we should have had to return it at giving us more miles to drive and add to the total. I feel in the overall experience that the company uhaul treated us unfairly and made too many mistakes on this one transaction and they should have to pay for their mistakes. The store manager was no help in helping resolve the situation and while we were trying to pay and get things sorted out he was trying to find other people to help. He treated our concerns as a customer with disrespect and as a store manager that will run a business to the ground. The least bit you can do when it's your company that made the mistake is have respect to the people you made the mistake too. Your employees are a result of your leadership, and this center shows very bad leadership with this location.
