Moving Helpers are individuals or small businesses who offer their labor services on our Marketplace, many of which specialize in loading and unloading U-Haul truck rentals and U-Box® containers.
Jimmy and JJ went beyond the call of duty. Elevator was out of order in the first building. Those guys had to carry a sofa, loveseat, and a bunch of other stuff down 9 flights, then walk back up for more. It rained on them, and they never complained. Great positive attitudes. Now, I did have to sit on hold for about an hour with Movinghelp.com to correct an issue with my credit card. But all is good. Regarding tips, we gave them cash.
They broke my personal items. They lost one of my shoes. They took a long time on a job that should have been less than 2 hours and tried to charge me for 2 extra hours. They asked if it was okay but what am I supposed to say? They would just leave halfway through a job. The unload items in my new apartment all over the place with no structure or competence. The movers I had were not good at their job. I would strongly advise against hiring these people because the owner specifically told me that people who can afford their service (i.e., paying for 4 hours on a one bedroom apartment job to load and unload, going a distance of less than 4 miles, that should take less than 2 hours), are the only people who they give special and professional care to. The people who can afford their service have their items stacked neatly when unloaded. They covered my bedroom closet with the headboard of my bed and then stacked things in front of that.
Richard and Leo were very careful with my things. They worked quickly and even did a couple of additional things to help me. I highly recommend!!!
