• We had broken furniture due to them packing heavy items on top of furniture. Had to continually remind them to use furniture pads. Of the furniture we missed reminding them, we had a lot of scratched or damaged furniture. We had let them know beforehand we had a treadmill. It wasn’t over 200 lbs. They claimed it was a specialty and demanded $200 to load it or they would just leave. Our movers that unloaded the treadmill said it didn’t qualify as specially and easily moved it without any complaints or issues.

  Our team utilized all available moving blankets during the job; however, there were not enough provided to fully protect every item. Additionally, no wrapping materials were supplied by the customer, nor was a wrapping service booked in advance. As a result, we did our best with the materials available to minimize the risk of damage. Regarding the treadmill, it required manual lifting and maneuvering with no direct ramp access, which posed a safety and labor concern. The ramp was positioned nearly halfway into the garage, making it unfeasible for a 2-man crew to safely move the item without risking injury or damage. For this reason, a 3-man crew and specialty handling were necessary, and the associated charge was communicated accordingly.
