What's the difference between the Swagman xtc 2 and the swangman xc 2?

–Bonnie Hanson 1/3/2015 12:19:47 PM

UHaul (Uhaul.com) does not carry the XTC model any longer. Thanks.

–Ronald 1/5/2015 9:04:06 AM

I have a 2001 Prius. Can I use this rack? Do I need to do anything special for installation?

–Bev 1/24/2015 5:36:41 PM

You need a hitch and you should make sure your vehicle specs allow the total weight of the rack with the bikes. Thanks.

–Ronald 1/26/2015 8:01:08 AM

Yes. You would need that bar.

–Ronald 1/27/2015 12:26:41 PM

Yes, the individual parts can be ordered through your local U-Haul center.

What does the bike rack weigh?

–Gary 1/22/2018 2:33:51 PM

Hey, Gary! This bike rack weighs about 29-1/2 pounds. I hope that is helpful!

–Savannah 1/23/2018 11:12:03 AM

Is there an add on that you can purchase for this rack in order to carry more bikes?

–Carolyn 6/6/2018 6:52:06 PM

Hi, Carolyn! At this time, we do not offer an add-on that will expand the bike carrying capacity of the Swagman XC 2 bike rack. Please consider purchasing a different Bike Rack that can carry more bikes. Thank you!

–Savannah 6/7/2018 6:59:45 AM

Can this hold one 75 pound electronic assist cargo bike?

–Mel 6/20/2018 1:17:33 PM

Hey, Mel! No, it looks like a 75-pound bike would be too large for this rack. Unfortunately, we do not offer any bike racks that can handle a bike of that weight and size. We apologize for the inconvenience!

–Savannah 7/17/2018 8:29:58 AM

Does this come with the part to attach to the RV bumper?

–Rich 7/27/2018 8:05:53 AM

Hey, Rich! The Swagman XC 2 bike rack is compatible with vehicles that are equipped with a 1-1/4" or 2" receiver hitch. The rack does not include the hitch. If you need the appropriate hitch installed, please contact or visit your local U-Haul Hitch Center. Thank you!

–Savannah 8/1/2018 12:23:06 PM

What are the differences between the Reece Q-slot 2 bike rack and the Swagman XC 2 bike rack (besides price). Thank you

–Claudia 8/4/2018 12:26:21 PM

Hi, Claudia! Here is a quick comparison of the Swagman XC and Reese Q-Slot:

  • The Swagman XC is secured to the receiver hitch using an anti-rattle bolt vs. the traditional pin and clip on the Reese Q-Slot.
  • The Swagman XC center mast folds down to the side over the wheel cradle and the Reese Q-Slot center mast folds straight back towards the rear of the vehicle.
  • The Swagman XC wheel cradle is flat, allowing the wheel to rest fully in the cradle vs. the Reese Q-Slot's raised cradle with wheel straps.
  • The Swagman XC offers a 70 pound weight capacity and the Reese Q-Slot offers a 90 pound weight capacity
I hope that is helpful!
