great

Rating:

Large mirror boxes not available at West Broad location. Better stocking needed.

Jacqueline S.
Rating:

I actually used this to hold multiple framed mirrors/large framed pictures by placing a cushion in between since I didn't purchase the corner pieces in the inside. You need those although it wasn't mentioned. There's lots of room inside.

are the prices quoted the price I will pay when I go to the uhaul close to me

–Sharon 11/26/2013 8:51:19 AM

Yes, these prices are consistent with U-Haul owned locations. Independent dealer pricing may vary. Your best bet is to purchase online with our "in-store pickup" option to secure your product and price.

where can I find your Philadelphia area free boxes location

–Dale M. Baskerville 11/29/2013 5:09:24 PM

You can use the U-Haul location finder or you can visit the Box Exchange to view posts from others with available supplies in your area.

–Stephen 12/2/2013 7:18:45 AM

I would like to know if the large mirror boxes are equipped to send pictures in the mail.

–Jason 12/8/2013 5:05:35 PM

If the box is properly packed, there should be no issue sending this via mail. We highly recommend using the Picture Packer Kit with this box and insuring the package for the full value of its contents.

–Stephen 12/10/2013 6:35:10 AM

Is the large mirror box big enough to put more the one picture in?

–Kay 12/14/2013 5:58:01 PM

That would depend on the width of the pictures. The width of the box is 4 inches.

–Stephen 12/16/2013 9:53:52 AM

Is the large mirror box heavy duty enough to pack a flat panel plasma tv? Probably in the 70 pound range.

–Larry 1/16/2014 11:53:29 AM

We do not recommend packing a flat screen TV in a mirror box. For maximum protection, use part # FSTV.

–Stephen 1/27/2014 7:43:09 AM

Can this be used for international shipping?

–Emma 2/17/2014 1:15:36 PM

It's been done, but I tend to want to be a bit more careful and use only double wall boxes for international shipments. This would work, but make sure that if you do, you're generous with the packing material.

–Stephen 2/21/2014 7:16:15 AM

Are the measurements given the exterior size? Looking for boxes in which to move 30x48 in. artwork. Is this one, or another one you offer, appropriate?

–GMB 3/21/2014 1:06:47 PM

They are inside dimensions. This box should work based on your requirements.

–Ronald 4/22/2014 4:12:00 PM

Instructions on the mirror box are confusing. Can you clarify?

–Ellen 5/31/2014 1:43:36 PM

–Ronald 11/24/2014 7:58:45 AM

will a 32" flat screen tv fit in this large mirror box to check in with my flight to philippines?

–aileen mendoza 2/16/2015 8:36:30 AM

Without knowing the depth of your TV, we cannot tell whether or not it will fit. However the depth of the LMB is 4" so if your TV is less than 4" deep, it should fit.

If you are going to be shipping your TV internationally, you may want to look at our Flat Panel TV Kit for better protection for your TV. Thank you.

–Joseph 2/19/2015 10:49:10 AM

I was wondering if you had TV boxs for a 40 in flat screen and a 60 in flat screen. And how much those would cost

–Lee Ann 3/10/2015 5:51:07 PM

Lee, we absolutely do!

U-Haul offers the Flat Panel TV Kit that can accommodate flat screen TVs from 32" to 70" for $19.95.

Thank you.

–Joseph 3/11/2015 11:52:03 AM

HOW DO I USE THIS BOX, DO I HAVE TO CUT IT TO PUT IT TOGETHER?

–KEVIN 4/16/2015 9:29:12 AM

The flap lock tabs are in place for using 2 of them together. If you are only using one, yes, you will need to cut the flap lock tabs. Thank you!

–Joseph 4/16/2015 10:39:15 AM

I have a painting (unframed) 40" x 48". Does this box slide apart to accommodate that size? Or would 2 boxes do the trick?

–Sheila 6/9/2015 10:10:11 PM

One single Large Mirror Box will be too small, but two telescoping together will make one large box measuring 62" x 48" (with 4" of overlap).

–Joseph 6/29/2015 12:08:49 PM

42" round glass table top-Do I get two boxes and tape them together?

–Betty Powell 6/22/2015 7:33:02 AM

Yes, that will work. The boxes are made to allow for telescoping one into the other.

–Joseph 6/29/2015 9:23:52 AM

I have a heavy dresser mirror if I use bubble wrap to protect it would that be enough and is there a box to accommodate?

–cynthia 7/7/2015 5:29:43 AM

Without knowing the wight of the mirror it is difficult to say. If it is over 65 lbs, you would want to use a double walled box. We recommend using furniture pads as well.

–Joseph 8/31/2015 12:29:47 PM

I need to pack a picture that is 48 x 32 or 33 What size mirror picture box do I need - then I have to buy the cornor guards etc seperately

–Rick 7/27/2015 12:11:04 PM

You would be better off purchasing two regular size Mirror Boxes and telescoping them.

–Joseph 8/28/2015 3:42:01 PM

Can I ship this box through Fed Ex? USPS? UPS?

–Dawn 8/10/2015 8:11:59 PM

Yes, you can ship this box through UPS, FedEx and USPS.

–Joseph 8/31/2015 11:06:09 AM

What is the weight of the box alone?

–Ray Bauer 10/6/2015 3:21:44 PM

3.5 lbs.

Thanks for asking!

–Joseph 10/8/2015 12:48:51 PM

What is the max overlap for a 2-box config? I would like to create a ~48"x48" box, which would require a 9" overlap. Is that doable?

–Brian 11/2/2015 4:50:01 PM

You will have at least 13" of overlap at 48" x 48".

–Joseph 11/3/2015 11:50:05 AM

I need to ship a 48" X 36" X 1.5" artwork on canvas. Will this fit in a telescoped mirror box or telescoped extra large mirror box if I am also using your styrofoam corners and strap from the picture packer kit inside the box?

–Anna 11/12/2015 4:26:59 PM

Two Large Mirror Boxes will work perfectly with the Picture Packer Kit for your item.

–Joseph 11/23/2015 5:17:13 PM

What is the weight of the box? IO would like to estimate my shipping cost.

–Jane 11/26/2015 7:29:12 PM

The Large Mirror Box weights 3.5 lbs.

–Joseph 11/30/2015 10:02:38 AM

Do the flaps on long edge of these overlap or do they meet in the middle?

–Alice 6/16/2016 9:57:15 PM

Hi, Alice! The flaps on this box overlap. I hope that is helpful!

–SAVANNAH 6/17/2016 8:36:50 AM

For a 38"H x 64"W framed artwork, could I use 2 of these together? The 4 piece picture box doesn't appear to be big enough.

–Emily C 6/22/2016 8:42:35 PM

Yes, you could use two boxes together to accommodate your framed artwork.

–SAVANNAH 6/23/2016 8:12:06 AM

How thick is the cardboard, compared to the TVKIT cardboard thickness?

–AMR 10/27/2016 10:50:03 AM

The TVKIT is designed to be used with televisions which tend to be much heavier than mirrors, so the TVKIT features thicker cardboard than the Large Mirror Box.

–TIMOTHY 11/11/2016 9:45:56 AM

What is the largest glass box you have. I have a table top that measures 46x 80 long and 2 in. Deep.

–Mary moore 4/23/2017 10:51:20 AM

The largest box we offer is our Four Piece Picture/Mirror Box (40" x 60" x 3-1/2"). If you are moving then we'd recommend using furniture pads or quilted pads to protect the table top in transit. However, if you are shipping it somewhere then you will need to purchase a custom box for it.

–TIMOTHY 4/24/2017 8:51:53 AM

We need to ship a painting that is 48" long by 42" high by 4" thick. Will we be able to use two large mirror boxes?

–LJ 5/21/2017 5:55:40 PM

Hi, LJ! Yes, you can put two together and use them for your painting. Thanks for asking!

–Savannah 6/15/2017 12:33:33 PM
