We were set to receive the tank today and it was not delivered. I have had to call customer service twice and the representative was very nice and had excellent customer service and he stated that the tank was on back order. I have asked that the representative (Dave) ask if we could have our tank filled for free since we did not cancel our order to go somewhere that had the tanks in stock. He was checking with his supervisor when I spoke with him on 11/28/18. So far, we haven't been very pleased with our purchase but the customer services has been good.

if I buy some 100lb tanks, will I be able to refill them at any location in Austin?

–Eric Pedley 11/8/2013 5:08:59 PM

All U-Haul centers that dispense propane are able to fill a 100 lb tank. To find a fill location near you, visit http://www.uhaul.com/Locations/ and check the "propane" box. All U-Haul centers are open 7 days a week and take payment right at the pump!

What type of connector do I need for a 100# tank to connect to a regulator? I have tried an FPOL connector but it leaks LP fuel. Any ideas?

–Nathan S 7/1/2015 1:06:17 PM

Hey Nathan, it sounds like you may want to check your o-rings. If you are experiencing leaks, they may be cracked.

In order to connect to our 100 lb tank you will need either a FPOL or POL connector. Any of our regulators with a hose will do!

–Joseph 7/6/2015 5:13:53 PM

Can these tanks be transported horizontally and then be placed vertical before using?

–Frank 10/27/2017 11:45:21 PM

Hello, Frank! All vertical cylinders MUST be transported, stored and used in the vertical position. It is very dangerous to transport them in the horizontal position. Thank you.
