Description

Product Description

Part Number:
TAP

This product works by replacing the taillight bulb(s) in the tow vehicle to provide a quick light hookup. Leads coming from the base of the Tap-A-Light bulb are compatible with rental trailers.

  • A great solution for temporary wiring when all you are doing is renting a trailer.
  • Installs as easily as changing a light bulb
  • Works in place of all round base bulbs.
  • You can hide the wiring leads behind the tow vehicles lens when not in use.
  • Some vehicles with seperate brake and turn signals may require the Turn-A-Tap product as well. (See "Related items" below)

Great product- I've been using Tap-A-Lite since 1979 not just for towing but as a 12V circuit tester. You also should offer the wiring kit to match the lights- I couldn't find it online.

Will this work on a 2007 Lexus rx350? How many do I need, one for each side or does one package do both lights?

–Sally Franklin 11/24/2013 5:51:10 AM

UHaul's Hitch Program Manger writes ... "This product is a trailer lighting solution for vehicles with tail lights that have round base bulbs, and have the brake & turn signal in the same bulb - usually used on older vehicles through to mid / late 1990s. It isn't compatible with a 2007 RX350, to wire this vehicle with trailer lighting use either part number 118478 or 14493."
