My 2018 Outlander PHEV did not come with the towing option, but did indeed, have the hidden factory trailer connector. The # 59236 converter will work ok on my vehicle if you're willing to splice into the small wires at the connector. I purchased and used the C77KR taillight converter that mates directly to the OEM vehicle trailer connector. I should have investigated my vehicle deeper myself and not relied upon converter manufactures data as being correct.
