Alien Battlefield

Most of the world is oblivious to the fact that the State of Hawaii is under siege, struggling for survival. This battle has caused casualties which have led to the extinction of hundreds of endemic birds, plants and insects.

Hawaii is fighting aliens. No, not little green men from outer space. If you're interested in learning about that type of alien, visit our New Mexico SuperGraphic site. Extraterrestrial aliens are those creatures not native to our planet. The aliens threatening Hawaii are plants, animals and insects not native to the islands. These alien species have been introduced by humans and have caused severe damage, leaving some ecosystems of Hawaii on the brink of total destruction. The majority of the American public is completely unaware that Hawaii is the nation's endangered-species capital. In fact, over 25 percent of the United States' endangered birds and plants reside on the islands of Hawaii. What's more astonishing is that a state with so little land (0.2 percent of the U.S. land area) has already accounted for the over 70 percent of our nation's extinctions!
