Ben Cook Named ADVP of District 28

Ben Cook has been tapped to lead the new U-Haul District 28 as area district vice president over five Chicagoland-area marketing companies.

U-Haul CEO Joe Shoen and Executive Vice President Ron Frank made the announcement. Cook accepted his new position today.

“We’re going to continue to grow Chicago,” Cook said. “I think we’re moving in the right direction, and we have a great team in place. I’m looking forward to working with every one of them and expanding our operations in Chicago so we can ultimately serve more customers.”

Cook has served effectively as president of U-Haul Company of Central Chicago (857) since 2014. Prior to becoming MCP, Cook was general manager of U-Haul Moving & Storage of Hoffman Estates (856024) from 2008-14. He began his U-Haul career working summers as a customer service rep from 2000-03, and returned to U-Haul as a full-time CSR in 2006.

“I believe it is clear that Ben has the skills and talents to continue the very progressive effort at opening more dealers and purchasing locations to serve more U-Haul customers,” Frank added. “It takes a great deal of internal strength and leadership to keep a district moving today. My confidence is that Ben will do all that he is asked to do.”
