Ed Hatcher Appointed ADVP of District 25

ASTOR, Fla. (March 29, 2016) — Ed Hatcher, who was raised in Orlando and has lived most of his life near Central Florida, has the unique experience of working with or for virtually every U-Haul marketing company president in District 25.

That sort of knowledge and familiarity goes a long way in forging productive relationships with fellow Team Members and U-Haul customers.

Hatcher was recently named the new area district vice president (ADVP) of District 25. The announcement was made by AMERCO Chairman and President Edward J. “Joe” Shoen and Executive Vice President Frank D’Abarno. Hatcher began in his new role on March 25.

“Ed has a proven track record of successful personnel leadership,” D’Abarno said. “Ed’s leadership, combined with his knowledge of the markets and the MCPs in that district will allow him to immediately have a positive impact on his team and their ability to achieve our PSO (primary service objective).”

Hatcher had been serving as MCP of 784, U-Haul Company of Jacksonville, where he was stationed for the last eight years.

Throughout his career, Hatcher has been a field relief manager for U-Haul Company of Northwest Colorado; shop manager for Kar-Go Service Center in Denver; and senior manager and storage manager for U-Haul Company of Orlando. For 785 in Orlando, he also served as an area field manager, senior staff and senior clerk. He was general manager for U-Haul Moving and Storage of Altamonte Springs and U-Haul Moving and Storage at South Orange Avenue, and also had a stint as a customer service representative.

“I look forward to setting the tone for great customer service and growing U-Haul Company’s footprint in District 25,” Hatcher said. “I think my marketing and shop experience, my understanding of this market and knowing everybody in the district will serve me well. I look forward to the challenge and responsibility that lies ahead.”
