Juan Candia Promoted to MCP for UHC of Southern New Mexico

EL PASO, TX (Feb. 4, 2016) — Twenty-four years of working hard in various roles at U-Haul has prepared Juan Candia for his new promotion as marketing company president (MCP) of UHC of Southern New Mexico. The new job will give Candia the opportunity to stay in New Mexico, and in his hometown of El Paso.

Candia started with U-Haul in June 1992 as a customer service representative (CSR) at U-Haul Moving & Storage at Paisano (724-053). He was promoted to manager trainee in July 1994. In April 1998, Candia became general manager (GM) at U-Haul Moving and Storage at El Paso Airport (724-024). In May 2013, Candia became field relief manager (FRM) for U-Haul Company of New Mexico (Co. 724). His new role as MCP will have him overseeing operations for southern New Mexico and west Texas.

“I’m excited about taking on this new role as MCP and facing new challenges,” Candia said. “I’m lucky to already have a good core of experienced general managers and team members, which will help me make this transition easier and make our team very successful.”

As MCP of UHC of Southern New Mexico, Candia plans to lead his team to more growth by taking care of existing customers and adding more dealers to the U-Haul network and more storage locations as well. Candia is focused and driven to get results. His goal is to make the company better by working even harder.

U-Haul Executive Vice President (EVP) Bob Willson and District 3 Area District Vice President (ADVP) Yvette DaLuz are both excited to have Candia oversee the newly formed U-Haul Company of Southern New Mexico (Co. 876).

“Juan is a proven performer,” U-Haul Executive Vice President (EVP) Bob Willson said. “He has a very good track record of success. One example is the large mag store he managed that was consistently in the top 100 of storage locations year after year.  Juan is an enthusiastic, mature leader.  I look forward to working with him and watching his new company grow through solid execution of programs that serve our PSO.”

Congratulations Juan!
